Science Care was a blessing. My mother passed away recently, knowing she wanted to be cremated. My brothers and I knew there was no way we nor our mom could afford cremation. A family member suggested my mom donated her body to science. I had heard of Science Care though my job and dived deeper. Not only can your loved one's body help educate students for science but they cover the cost of cremation. This information took a huge financial burden off our shoulders. The process to sign up is extremely easy and the team is very kind; all the way from the initial intake person all the way to the team who transports your loved one's body once they've passed. Then receiving your loved one's remains happens fairly quickly, too. Thank you, Science Care for making this difficult transition significantly more bearable. Hugs.

My sister recently passed away and she was a pharmacist that worked on cures for cancer and before she passed she applied for her body to be sent here from San Antonio Texas to help future patients with cancer and studies on gallbladder/bile duct cancer cause thats what she had and they sent her cremated remains back a couple days ago with a thank you letter :) my sister wanted her ashes put in a salt urn so we can send her off in the ocean so she can be part of the earth and thats her wishes so me and my other 2 sisters plan on going to Hawaii and sending her off at one of the islands and taking a boat far enough so the salt urn has time to dissolve and her ashes :)

Ultimate Horror! I had no clue my Mother had died (Or donated) when they called saying they needed her body right away. The turmoil was too great. When I told them that there as no way Anyone in our family would EVER do such a thing they then said that they had a card that she had filled out after seeing an TV advert. My take is...her neighbor that has since claimed her car ,washer, dryer and everything else since she" helped her out" sometimes. Ultimately did the "signing" So much pressure to learn circumstances before giving consent. Now they plan to send a letter of my Mothers' ,"participation'" in the ghoulish program. I would suggest that should be optional! I never want to hear from them again!

Why were the human remains unattended in a neighborhood? These people entrusted their loved ones to you. You need to fire your transport company. DENVER (KDVR) A box of human heads was stolen from a truck that was transporting the body parts for medical research, officials in Denver said. The theft occurred Thursday morning at 11 a.m., when the Denver Police said someone broke into the box truck and took a cardboard box of human remains as well as a dolly. Sources told Nexstars KDVR the box was blue and white, and had Science Care written on the sides.Inside the box? Human heads. Science Care is a program for donating bodies to science to help improve scientific research and education. KDVR has reached out to the company to learn more about the intended destination. Pretty shocking. I guess I dont see too many strange things happening around here usually, but you know you never know, said Isaac Fields, a local resident who moved to Denvers Central Park neighborhood about three years ago. Wow! I would have been so terrified.Still, questions remain. Where was the truck going? Why was it parked in the neighborhood? Who was driving? And who would do something like this? Police could only confirm the heads were being transported to be used for medical research. They couldnt share any further details, as the case was still active. Neighbors, meanwhile, are wondering whether the suspect intended to steal the remains, or something else entirely. So far no arrests have been made. Police are currently asking the public to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers (720) 913-STOP (7867) with any knowledge of the location of the remains, or any information that can help identify the suspect or suspects involved.
