Normally used to love going to Joanns. I used to work in fabric retail years ago and unfortunately times have changed. I went to get a couple yards of fabric and there was only 4. Left on the bolt after measuring my 2yards I requested. The lady didnt bother to just throw in the last 4 or even ask me if I wanted to purchase at a discount. I asked her if she was t just gonna throw in the last bit and she said no, she has to account for it. So I told her to cut it at the requested 2yds. I said to her youre just going to throw that away arent you and she said yes. I cant believe this multi-million dollar companys, like all others, thinks about nothing but their bottom linethe almighty $$$$. What the heck was 4? Maybe a couple of cents. Joannes, I thought you could do better than this. What happened to Corporate Giving???you have no idea what I was going to do with this fabric.

idk what it was yesterday but the girl at the cutting table was so mean ):
I went up looking to get some fabric cut and asked her if she could show me what a certain length looked like. she looked at me like I was speaking a different language and said um I just cut it one way so idk what youre asking I tried to re-explain and after a few eye-rolls from her and the overall feeling of discomfort from being around someone who was so rude, I just grabbed the fabric from her and told her id figure it out myself. maybe it was something i said but i felt i approached her kindly /:
I get it if she hates her job but when youre in customer service you really cant be so mean, I work/ have been working customer service a long time, its just the way things go. im usually not one to get upset over a worker being mean to me but her attitude was like no other. ive never had a worse experience talking to an employee especially at this joann /: maybe she was having a bad day i'm not sure but it really upset me and kinda made me wanna cry after the whole thing :,). I usually love coming to this store though and everyone besides her has been super helpful and accommodating!
writing this review so people are prepared to encounter her in case her attitude wasnt just a one time ordeal.

Very nice store. The employees are super helpful. The are genuinely interested what project you are working on.
