I had a simple tax return. Katie Rocke explained the high cost for tax preparation was because I was paying for her expertise, equipment and peace of mind that everything was done right. When I dropped off the forms, Katie made me feel rushed even though I had an appointment. I made another trip to pick up the completed taxes and again was rushed. Katie said I owed $1768 in Federal taxes and I immediately knew that could not be right. Rather than take the time to review it with me, she assured me everything was double checked and that I should go home and check the work. I did go home and found the error in 5 minutes. We could have done that in the office if she didnt rush me out the door. Katie, who claimed to have doubled checked her work, forgot to enter my prepaid Federal taxes on my social security income. I phoned her with the error and she did recalculate my taxes. If I had not insisted the numbers were wrong, I would have paid money I did not owe. Bottom line is that I paid a lot of money to have my taxes done right and they werent. Nobody should have to recheck their tax preparers work, let alone be told they owe money that they dont.

Very unprofessional Terrible hours to work around Refused to do arithmetic from my balance sheet and didn't file my taxes while taking 40% of retainer Lost all of my tax forms and then blamed me for not having my documents together Could not rate this accounting service any lower

Over confident, poor communication & less than adequate results. Dont need that.
