I am eternally grateful for Michelle having shared her story about the generous, compassionate and forgiving parents who have nannies with criminal records. Both the parents and the school administrators sound like living testaments to the Catholic tenants of love, compassion and forgiveness. And because of their love, empathy and understanding, human beings who have committed past wrongs were able to reform their lives, forgive themselves and make better decisions and a positive contribution to society moving forward! Michelle's story has motivated me to send my daughters to Catholic school and serves as yet another reminder to us all that Jesus' miracles, life work and teachings are still alive and well in this, our City of Angels.

Very good school. Kids are behaved, know their prayers. They are being taught to be responsible as well as they challenge them academically.

Both my sons and their cousins went to this schools 2 yrs ago. All of them had a horrible experience with their 3rd grade teacher. Mrs Fernandez. To the point where the cousins moved schools. She always put the kids under a lot of pressure and yell and scream in class. So when it came to my younger son moving to 3rd grade I asked for him not to be with that teacher and they still assigned him to her class. I told them that I will be moving schools as well as I don't think she's fit to tear kids so they had her call me and she straight out lied to me about her actions in class. In general that's the schools attitude. I don't think it's productive to have kids do things out of fear. So many complaints in the same area from a lot of families and they lost a lot of kids because of that. DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.

My daughter enjoyed her kindergarten teacher but the 1st Grade teacher did not impress me. One of the families attending the school are questionable because their nannies had criminal records that they would brag about while talking to other parents. I brought this up to the principle out of concern for the children and was told the parents who hired the nanny were aware of the criminal past. The parents were one of the biggest financial donors to the school so the children's safety were not the priority and the school chose to accommodate the nanny over the children's safety. I also do not agree with their practice of not wanting local law enforcement present near their school. This only creates a comfortable environment for criminals and an obvious pattern of bad choices.

We have two kids attending Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic School. We couldn't be happier with the teachers and administration. We have been at SFA when enrollment was down and the school looked as if it may close, we were fortunate to see a new Principle start and make a lot of changes. I am happy to say we are all still there and the school has made some really great changes. The enrollment is up, advancements are being made every day and our kids are getting well prepared for High School and beyond. As everyone knows technology is here and is our future, SFA administration understands this and if you haven't been there - you need to come by and ask to see our new digital library and tech lab...Truly amazing! If you are thinking about Catholic High School for your son or daughter, Saint Francis in Yorba Linda is where you want your child to attend.I have read some of the reviews and I agree the road isn't easy at SFA. Kids work hard during the day and there is a lot of homework, our kids are fine and if you want your kids to have success in life this is a great place to start. We have been at SFA for 10 years now, our son started in Pre-k and looks like he will graduate :) Our other child is doing well and has a few more years, I think the only thing left to say is that we will be sad to leave. Make no mistake about it. It is a clear choice, SFA is the school your child should attend.ThanksA Happy Parent!
