Loving Hands Children’s Home embraces and uplifts our founder, a compassionate Registered Nurse, who tirelessly delivers 24-hour care and unwavering support to our cherished children. With love as our guiding principle, we honor her dedication and extend her nurturing spirit throughout our organization, ensuring every child receives the warmth, care, and attention they deserve. Upon waking children are assisted with activities of daily living including hygiene, grooming and environmental care. Skilled Nursing Care is provided around the clock and various therapies made available in effort to improve healthcare outcomes and maintenance.

Meals and snacks are offered as scheduled and appropriate and mentally stimulating activities are offered. School aged children attend school with safe transportation provided.

Special Considerations

Humans and animals form and share special bonds together that create a beautiful and healing symbiotic connection. Our Emotional Support Animal Therapy Family provides our children with companionship as well as physical and emotional health benefits. Therapeutic Animal Support is known to assist in coping with fears, anxiety, loneliness, post-traumatic stress disorders, depression, insecurities, psychological support, improving mental wellness, rebuilding trust, socialization and much more.

Our edible forest applies the principles of ecology to mimic a forest ecosystem that provides a sustainable system offering food, fun, treats and delicious healthy goodness.

We are combating global issues while enlightening and empowering our youth. Our edible forest offers practicality and teaches us how to live interdependently without exhausting our resources.

In our society today, 1 in 3 children are on a fast track to develop Type 2 Diabetes. And an overwhelming majority of the children in our cities have never actually taken part in cultivating healthy food. Loving Hands Children’s home wants to introduce children to “Our Edible Forest” and contribute to teaching healthy nutrition.

In my own personal life, I was an adult before I met and fell in love with my first chicken, pig or goat… or realized how diet, life style choices and healthy symbiotic relationships with nature really affected my life and world. Our aim is to teach children about natural, healthy, clean food choices which will lend itself to better life choices as they grow and continue to learn. It all begins now, with our children and education. This enables minds to open and grow for a better tomorrow. 

Meditation and other mindfulness practices are more popular than ever, especially for children. Studies have shown that teaching kids mindfulness practices can cultivate students’ attentiveness, respect for themselves and others, self-control, and empathy, all while reducing stress, hyperactive behavior, ADHD symptoms, and depression.

Giving kids the tools to help them fend off negative thoughts and behaviors, build self-confidence, focus, and treat others and themselves with respect and appreciation is a gift and skill that they will have for the rest of their lives. This grants children resources necessary to make more positive life decisions.

Loving Hands Children’s Home has launched a fun and interactive youth empowerment program, which is focused on teaching at-risk and older foster youth valuable independent living skills. When youth are granted access to information & resources and are able to share regular positive interactions with trusted adults, there is a significant decrease in the likelihood of drug and/or alcohol abuse, crime and under age pregnancy. The Empowerment program also gives our organization the opportunity to assist in addressing hunger, and other important issues related to poverty and homelessness. Children who are fortunate to have access to resources and the guidance of a positive role model experience improved academic performance, higher self confidence and better decision making abilities. They are also more likely to attend and complete a college degree / trade program, and set & complete positive goals for the betterment of their lives.

The Youth Empowerment Program is part of our Community Outreach and Mentor Program . Through our program we teach youth independent living skills and grant youth necessary resources that aid participants in daily living. With each course taught, the organization purchases and donates items that coincide with each lesson. This includes food, donated clothing items and supplies. Our program offers youth a safe and reliable means to develop positive and significant relationships and secure needed resources. We unite caring and dedicated community members with youth and provide resources for a successful transition into adulthood. Our mentors provide support, friendship, encourage independence and assist in promoting confidence.
