PIH Health Pulmonary Care Wells Medical Office Building

Dr Akhavan is very good and sees two members of my family. He definitely cares and finds way to provide treatment that will help with condition. He spends the right amount of time with his patients and helps them understand. As a specialist, he is very busy and sometimes has only a few appointments available and sometimes his work at the hospital takes longer than planned. This doesn't matter since he is a good doctor worth waiting for.

Had to wait close to a month for the first available appointment, was called two weeks into waiting and was told they had to reschedule and was told Id have to wait over another month to see a doctor. How long does someone need to wait to breathe? Ridiculous.

My husband has sleep apnea issues and his primary Doctor recommended him to see a pulmonologist.. I am the one in charge of searching for a good doctor (we have PPO) I choose Doctor Akhavan because he has good reviews. Well my husband was very disappointed with the Doctor. Doctor was very cold and he was not even looking at my husband when he was talking! Doctor was sarcastic my husband asked him what can he do to help him to improve his health and the doctor answered "well I don't know I don't do miracles " my husband at this point wanted to leave but he patiently waited for the 5 minutes Doctor reviewing his papers. I don't think the sarcasm was necessary he supposed to be a professional. We definitely won't recomend Doctor Alhavan or go back to him.

Desiree at the information desk in the lobby is extremely rude and unprofessional. I simply asked her where a specific doctor was and she rudely shook her head and said, "I dont know who that is." I then asked her where is room 208, she shook her scrunched up face and pointed up saying, "second floor." I will be filing a complaint. If someone is going to work at an information desk they should at least fake being helpful. It seems like rude behavior is a trend at this place. When I got to room 208 I encountered Gloria's extremely off-putting attitude as well.. I simply asked her for a prescription I was picking up. She looked at me with total confusion across her face as if I was an alien . These people need training because facial expressions do go a long way. Luckily someone assisted her and that encounter was extremely brief.
