Varitek Heating and Air Conditioning Contractors

I called them because my Nest thermostat shut down when I removed my reusable filter for cleaning.  Instead of wasting my money to send someone out to my house, they told me that there is a shutoff switch which turns power back on when the filter door is replaced.  Could have charged me for an easy house visit, but they didn't. That's honesty and service right there.

They reassigned my HVAC claim to another company. The new contractor came out today and said he finished wiring my motherboard that wasn't wired properly/left unwired by Varitek and this fixed my AC and Heat. The blower motor part that Varitek was trying to find for weeks wasn't even needed. Thank God for the new contractor!

I got in touch with Varitek through the home warranty. First, I couldn't contact them directly. I called several times during the week and the answering machine told me to leave a message and a representative would get back to me. That didn't happen even after a week.Second, they are very dishonest in their estimates. They included modifications to the old system that was way more expensive than a new system. This is just a strategy for the home warrant to get away from the cost. So they bill $2800 (75% of the costs according to home warranty) to me by the bogus claims. This is a dubious act in partnership with the home warranty. I wouldn't trust anyone involving such strategies.
