Went to look at apartments. Two people in office. One said she had someone coming to sign a lease couldn't help us. The other person said they were going to lunch. We left and walked around the property for 15 minute. Went back by the office and person was there and no else there. Guess the lease signing was happening. They gave us a folder with all the fees. Tenants pay for everything. Water, sewer, trash, electric, gas, etc. Most apartments pay for water, sewer and trash. The big issue is the $100 fee for a parking spot. This is an open lot. This is a rip off.

My mother and I moved in 2 months ago and really like it here! The response to maintenance requests is very fast and everyone is so nice. There are many activities and special events, too. They are currently updating the fitness center with new equipment and space. The grounds are beautifully maintained as well. I highly recommend living here!

I don't give 5 stars easily because I am a retired U.S Marine.. So when I met with the staff And got a great all encompassing tour of the grounds and the available units I was impressed by the professionalism as well as how the grounds were Maintained. It has all the ammenities anyone could ask for. As well as the serenity that most of us appreciate as we get past age 40+ Joey and Susan Are the cream of the crop. For property Management.

Greetings, First of all I want to say my dad has lived here for 10 years so this place overall is not a bad place to live. New management has took over for about two years and it is ok but definitely not as good as the previous landlord with utilities, parking and anything else you can think of prices have gone up since. Understandable, I guess and still manageable financially for most, including my dad. This community has lots of activities, games, exercises, movie nights and potlucks from time to time, and so on. Although they were closed down for some time due to COVID-19 things are opening back up. The staff Susan and Joey and even the maintenance workers are pretty nice HOWEVER my experience with Dan Newcomb (came with new management) was absolutely horrible! A scale of 10 being the worst with any other staff here or anywhere! So clearly it's the holidays, I live in palm springs and I took a week off to visit my 85 year old dad, it had to be at least 4 months since I've seen him. I know this new management is not nearly organized and on top of things (as far as parking) like the previous people were. So I was surprised when Dan approached me yelling about how my car was staying longer than it should have been. I got there at 12 and moved my car around 225 (so 15 mins tops). There was no reason for him to talk to me like that even if I did something wrong you can politely tell someone something. He was completely unprofessional and disrespectful literally yelling and threatening me to tow my car, when there were cars that were still there from the previous night and plenty of parking was available at that time. I am mearly going off of the way he approached me and talked to me. And I will be honest I did leave my car there overnight previously when I spent the night over my dad's (as other cars did) because before I left (4 months ago) things were not enforced at all so it wasn't a big deal to leave your car there overnight. The problem with this complex it is unorganized (parking). One day it's okay to park overnight and one day it's okay to stay over 15 minutes without being verbally threatened. He is negligent and lazy most days allowing cars to sit overnight for days. Certain cars he will give tickets to when he feels like it and other cars he will allow to sit there until he feels like doing something about it, which can be very confusing to visitors or family that doesn't come around that often. So he basically forbid me to not park my car inside of the complex EVER or else it will get towed. I do not see how this company would hire this man.. Completely unethical and disrespectful on so many levels, his conduct especially is not management material. He'd rather smoke cigarettes every 30 minutes than do his job. As a manager you should treat visitors just as respectful as you treat the residents. My dad has been here over 10 years and I have never encountered such rudeness from this apartment complex. One person with a bad attitude can make the whole company look bad. My dad pays $150 a month for parking- financially not a problem for him but you would think it'd be more put together. I do not recommend this complex for your family member especially if you don't want to get verbally attacked just for visiting your loved ones. **My honest review.

Hello Eric. We are sorry to read your review about your recent experience at FountainGlen Goldenwest. We encourage appointments to ensure we set aside an appropriate amount of time for new prospects as well as residents that need to come in and sign their lease renewals. We are sorry we were unable to provide you a thorough tour of our community when you came by, but we do invite you to come back – just reach out and let us know what time would work best for your schedule. The community office is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.You mentioned in your review that most communities pays for water/sewer/trash, but we can share information with you if you come back that shows other communities that also have residents pay all utilities; it’s become a standard in the apartment management industry over the past several years. We do assign parking spaces to ensure our residents have a specific parking spot; again, assigned parking spaces with a monthly parking fee is a standard practice for apartment communities.Again, we apologize that we were unable to provide you the personal attention you desired when you arrived, and we are hopeful you will give us another opportunity to share our community and it’s benefits with you. You may call us to schedule an appointment at 714-897-0772. Thank you.
