I'd like to give a BIG commendation to Lisa Gutman, a realtor, who we met 28 years ago. This referral is for many sales transactions she did for us. She really did a fine job of making it possible to move into a home that we loved in a 1/2 acre property in a horse area. It was in Chatsworth, California that we did not have a down payment for at the time. With a small loan from a family member, Lisa was able to work out the balance financing so we could move there for 25 years. She was a whip then,  and so sweet and professional to work with. She only inspired hope in the process. She handled everything so well. We were thrilled to get in and live there happily, until we called her 25 years later.GET THIS! We had decided to move to Texas after my Dad passed on 3+ years ago. Mind you, we did not go because of California politics or hightaxes. My Dad being gone was someone who we would not leave California. When the just under 3 acre acre parcels came as an inheritance for my sister and I, we decided to sell the Pacific Palisades family home. Hard to do with the creek running through such a fine jungle-like canyon. We agreed to let it go, as Mom and Dad would no longer be there.We contracted Lisa Gutman to sell it from her Calabasas office, and my sister contracted Ray Lyon of Santa Monica, to also sell the property. The Tiger on the showing it was Lisa coming over daily and every other day from her Calabasas digs to show it for a couple of months, talking with potential buyers, and wrangling with the man who wanted it most. They both had to work and wrangle hard to sell this property. As a super professional realtor, she had to spend many days, nights, and weeks of negotiating with incoherent small talk and non-communication by the buyer, a deal was made. The property was very narrow and because of the creek and the Coastal Commission Environmental rules, the property sold for 80% less than it should. Before the Commission came into being, our Dad had it designed for 22 lots. We have the design still by an architect. We also sold our oil rights with it as well, because of the CC putting a nix on our deal with Standard Oil many years ago.The story continues, as we decided to go to Texas, rather that being without the family in November 2017. As California beach people, we didn't want to go, but our son, daughter-in-law, and triplet 9-year old grandsons, we did not want to be without either. We called Lisa and she sold our home and got an auction going and got top dollar for our neighborhood in Chatsworth. She was the same experienced, easy going, professional gal. She was still sweet, hopeful, and a true top of the line realtor. She has sold many thousands of properties, most over a million and way up above that. It closed early January 2018.Long story short...Texas was not for us. We decided to go back to Chatsworth. I called Lisa and told her that we were back and what our plans were. She got right on it. We looked in Thousand Oaks and Newbury Park too. We came to Chatsworth and Simi Valley every Sunday to look for a new home and go to our church, that we had been missing. Our doctors, friends, business relationships were back on track. Our doctors were glad. Our church and our friends. We found a house and submitted our bid. But someone else already had bid that same amount. Finally, because of Lisa, we made the move and upped our offer. We did get this home. She was able to meet with the sellers and their broker to convince them of our desire to live in their house. If we ever sell, which I doubt, Lisa will be doing it. We have been looking on Balboa Island for another home and she said she could get another deal for us there as well. Lisa Gutman is truly the Best!
