Clayton Homes of West Sacramento

Most of the reviews on here are just ones of people who checked out lot models and how nicely they were greeted. These types of reviews don't really count, should be of people who actually bought homes and how their experiences went. We purchased a home couple years ago.Time frame was not accurate as permit fees were not either. There were fees also not mentioned and later just brushed off with "sorry". You're also told that the home is inspected for quality before moving in and that everything is good and working properly. We moved in while they were fixing several issues that we pointed out and were not fixed beforehand and a/c unit was not working properly. A/c company seemed to not test out their equipment after installation. Insurance that Clayton offers after one year warranty is also not that great. We called recently after our one year warranty was up for issues that Clayton never fixed and the company is out of state and you have to get inspectors to check items first in order to set up a claim. There's also deductibles which weren't mentioned either. If going through Clayton or or another make sure to ask questions about everything and get your own inspector to check the home before moving in.
