Great dental office! State of the art equipment and a caring staff make for a great experience! They have been my dentist for the last 15 years... since being recommended by my previous dentist, who retired. Dr. Benjamin, Larissa, Gina, and everyone in this office is just wonderful. They make going to the dentist enjoyable! They have always been sensitive to my comfort as well as my budget (especially times when I was without insurance). I can't recommend them enough.

This is an update to my review 9/3/15.Nothing is changed, I drive from Huntington Beach every 4 months,and at 76, my mouth is as good as can be.Since my first review, Dr Benjamin has only improved with 7 additionalyears of experience. Regarding Her fees for service, I don't know whatother dentists charge, but if your not on a budget; In the long run youwill save from future unnecessary redo's. Also I believe this officeexcels in gum improvement and gum maintenance.

My husband and I visited Dr. Benjamin's office after our usual dentist, Dr. Falcone combined his practice with Dr. Benjamin's. Neither of us have ever had a cavity and general have good oral health, we were just there for our six-month cleaning. Right off the bat we were both told we needed a "deep cleaning" with something called Arestin. We were told this was not entirely covered by insurance, so there was a $400 fee associated with the cleaning -- this was quoted to us already in the chair, which felt a little weird, but they had us there so it felt strange to fight it. If the hygienist is recommending it, I assumed it was necessary. We were both prescribed night guards (not covered by insurance :) and my husband was told he had three cavities. I, on the other hand, never even saw a dentist, as I was told he was "busy on a Zoom". After looking into the matter further, we came to find out that this Arestin (that this office is pedalling like Botox) is harmless but ineffective at best, and usually employed to make more money. Since I never saw a dentist and we both felt uncomfortable, we went for a second cleaning (and opinion) at a dentist's office where my friend is the hygienist. Not only did he confirm that this "deep cleaning" was snake oil (we both just need to floss more regularly) but my husband does not have any cavities. Yesterday we received ANOTHER bill from Dr. Benjamin's office for $200 per person for the Arestin treatment, making the grand total for this routine cleaning $1200 for our household. If we'd fallen for the night guard bit we'd be paying twice that out of pocket. Our cleaning at the other (much nicer) Dentist's office, just a few blocks away in Beverly Hills was totally covered by our decent dental insurance. I would caution anyone against going to either Dr. Falcone, or Dr. Benjamin. Obviously they overcharge/pad the bill depending on your insurance, but I would definitely wonder if the medical analysis they offer is legitimate as well.
