The Casa Dei Maria Montessori School

My granddaughter went to this preschool during COVID...best decision my daughter made...while working on the frontline at the hospital! My granddaughter is now in first grade, but she has learned so much during her stay here!  She knows her colors, numbers, math, how write her name and she reads!! We are first time parents, and honestly had no idea what to look for in a school beyond the obvious cleanliness and attention to my child's well being. When our friend switched schools, we followed, as she raved about Casa Dei Maria. We honestly didn't think it was that big of a deal at first, but now - oh my goodness, what a difference! Ms. S and Ms. T, all the teachers, and staff love these kids.  Not only that, our kiddo loves them back! The kids (and parents - so friendly!) were so welcoming when he started and he loves being part of the school. Learning wise, he's made great strides and it's given him a great skill set to build upon.  They have a wonderful summer program that they take great pride in creating, every week is a different theme, and is super fun for the children! And they do an amazing Spring concert, that really is beyond what you'd expect from a preschool.  I can't say enough fantastic things about this school - it's beyond what I could have hoped for and above all else, they truly care about your child.  If you're looking for a school that values your child, look no further- this is it!

We absolutely love this school! My oldest went there since she was 2, and now my youngest has been going there since she was 2 years old (now 4 1/2). The owner and director are amazing! I love all the teachers as well! You can tell they all love their job and the kids too which is important! They really care about the children and their needs. Not to mention their curriculum is superb and the price is good too! I'm so glad I found this place and recommend to all! I knew from the second I came here 5 plus years ago, it was the right place for us!

I really hate to write a negative review, but this one just needed to be put out there. When covid happened, my son's first daycare (which was beyond wonderful) had to close down and it took a while for them to re-open and I had to find placement for child right away as I am an essential worker and work didn't stop for me. I just want to address the only positive thing about this school was Ms. Hansy, and unfortunately she left. When my son started here, his behavior went downhill. They manipulated the situation EVERY TIME and blamed my child for "unacceptable" behavior. The kids clearly hit others there. If not, then my son wouldn't have picked up these behaviors. They constantly, and i mean CONSTANTLY gave me negative reports about my son's behavior to the point that they advised me to seek medical help in diagnosing him with autism. Mind you, before my son started here, we had NO behavioral issues whatsoever. On top of that, my son lost a lot of weight because they claimed he just wouldn't eat his food but had no problems whatsoever at the previous school. My son was here under a year and i decided to pull him out when I picked him up one day and saw a BIG bruise on his wrist. It was a size of an ADULT'S thumbprint. They never ever addressed this fucking issue with me until I brought it up. I even texted the school's cellphone with a picture of the bruise and NO RESPONSE. And that same fucking week, the owner and her daughter had the audacity to tell me that he is being KICKED OUT of school. MY 3 YEAR OLD SON is being kicked out of school they said...... AFTER the fact that they probably figured out I was going to be reporting them. Not a coincidence at all. The whole time he was there with "behavioral issues" not once did they mention expulsion whatsoever, they kept "reassuring" me that they are there to help. Bullshit. This is directed to the owner, Ms. S and her daughter, Ms. T.  I am upset that it took a while to write this review but this school completely impacted my child's well-being and I am currently having issues with his behavior that clearly stemmed from their environment. Bottom line, please save yourself the trouble. This school's turnover with the teachers are insane, new teachers every 3 months. Your child deserves better than the lie this school feeds you in the beginning when they first meet with you. Good luck.

My name is Nancy True and I own Mobile Zoo of Southern California, an animal rental service that performed a petting zoo for Casa Dei Maria this afternoon. I have been performing animal shows for preschools all over California since 1990, but have never seen such heartwarming and heartfelt caring for children as I saw today. I watched the staffs dedicated involvement not only with the kids, but also with their parents. The proverb  "It takes a whole village to raise a child" truly applies to this heavenly little preschool Casa Dei Maria.
