Suncrest Nurseries grows California Native Yerba Buena - Native American Indian Mint Tea (scientific name is Satureja Douglasii).It is a mint leaf plant with tiny flowers and small leaves found at the base of coastal redwood trees. You can take a small cutting of 4-6 leaves and brew it in hot water to get an herbal tea that my Grandfather drank daily to stay healthy.They sell the plant at Yamagami's Nursery in Cupertino (Silicon Valley) for $15 in a 1/2 gallon black pot. Glad to see Suncrest growing California Native herbal plants!

We visited Suncrest in Monterey Bay Greenhouse Growers Open House event on 6-17-2017. This is a wholesale business and they open to the public only in this kind of event. They have thousands of drought-resistant plants/flowers and we had to take shuttle to visit this farm. The knowledgeable tour guide patiently told visitors lot of interesting things about plants and flowers in plain English and also answer questions.

While they are a great nursery the availability list they email needs to become more user friendly. When you click on the link they email you, you then have to click on the wholesale tab, then you are required to enter a user name and a password. OK, fine, but when you forget them or are working on another computer and do know the required info, you're locked out. Now what would be really nice would be that Suncrest put a contact phone number on the website, someplace, somewhere it could easily be found so they could be easily called in order to get the required info. But no, you have to do a search online  then call. But what would really be nice would be it they would simply send an email list that can be opened without all the hocus pocus. I've got better things to do than attempt to ply open secret lists so I'm going elsewhere for my plants.
