Hargis is the best! Matt and his crew were nothing but the best.  Couldn't figure out how to adjust the cabinets. No problem.  Sent one of the guys right out. Water wasn't coming out of the fridge very fast. No problem.  Sent a guy right out.  Everything was super clean every night after the guys left.  HIGHLY recommend them!

We have used HHI for three different jobs. All three jobs were done in a very professional manner with more than excellent results. Matt and his crew are punctual, communicative, highly skilled, and super neat.A year and a half ago, they dropped everything a few days before Christmas (right up through Christmas  to do a total remodel of one of our bathrooms so that my husband would be able to come home from the hospital in a wheelchair. It was such a rush job, yet the results were amazing. It's now the best bathroom in the house! I would trust Matt and his crew/subs for just about any change I need to make in our house.

Asked my painter to recommend contractor who will accept small jobs too, and stay the course till the job is done.  With tenants cooking outside I wanted a 30 day complete kitchen remodel.  Matt Hargis was general contractor we did it in 32!  I lined up his company and our subcontractors six months in advance.  Hargis crew is very detail oriented and Matt kept lines of communication open like the conductor in an orchestra coordinating workers.  They demolished, hauled away, installed cabinets, customized countertop, removed and replaced appliances, and left the job site clean every day.  Other contractors wouldn't return calls , Matt showed up, listened to my plan, gave me a fair bid with scheduled payment plan.  Matt and his crew showed up early every day.  Put in a full days work.  Didn't jump from job to job leaving me hanging.  They were cheerful and professional.  If I need a remodel Hargis home improvement is who I'll call.  I like to hire Watsonville firms too.Honest, reliable, dependable, Matts dad started the firm in the eighties, now Matt Hargis is in charge.  Who knows maybe someday his newborn son Matt Jr will carry the torch.

Matt came out and put together a bid for us on some work we wanted done on our home. He was on time, friendly, and prompt with his quote. He did a great job explaining everything and answering our questions; so much so that we felt very comfortable giving them the work. Fast forward to today and they have completed the first of many projects (all new interiors doors, handles and finish carpentry). Their work looks great, the doors they installed are top quality from a local company, and we couldn't be happier. They also cleaned up after themselves each day, sweeping and maintaining the work space very well which is especially important because we have animals that could be injured by left over nails or wood splinters...going so far as to mop on the final day to clean up the fine dust that sweeping was unlikely to eliminate. They arrived on time/early every day and worked a full day each day. Matt and Jesus are great; can't wait to have them back for phase two!
