Absolutely horrible Dr. On a video call he never made eye contact. Asked rapid fire question without paying attention to the patient and he actually mocked the patient. Should lose his license.

Arman Danielyan is the worst psychiatrist I've met. he was charged with my care as an adolescent and he tried to give me benzos for daily use at 14 then forced me to take them when I said I was uncomfortable with this. when I complained of side effects, he didn't listen. I have PTSD from my time with him and when I tried to confront him about the harm he'd done, he maintained he had done a good job and couldn't comment  on my "hypothetical scenario." I would sooner trust a drug dealer on the street than I would this doctor, steer clear and stay safe.

This is a "check-the-boxes" psychiatrist. If it isn't on the check-list, he seems at a loss. Dr. D either missed or did not remember or include in his notes some very pertinent information shared with him during an appt by myself and also my son. The same information came up again later and rather than acknowledging he missed it, he said we didn't tell him. And that was that. If you're looking for some bed-side manner, there are a number of psychiatrists in the area who are wonderful. We made the move to one and my son feels seen and heard. So do I.

There are some people in this world who refused be fixed; they exist as insufferable power-drains that leech from those who raised them, while procrastinating in the project of life until their successful parents rest in peace happily. Complaining is complacency, defensiveness is the default. You are always right, King, we are your pawns. No degree, no job, no passion? No problem! Mom and Dad's infinite well of moolah will carry you through. Everyone owes you everything all of the time; and if anyone dares to even insinuate against your righteousness, stomp them into submission with your demigod tattling tactics. Everyone will defend you without question, and those who raise a finger will immediately lose it. Remember: Mom and Dad will carry you through. They will never doubt your incessant babbling about how wrong everything is, even though everything is completely in your favor.Above was my outlook on life roughly 6 years ago before seeing Dr. Danielyan. Pretty messed up, isn't it? Well, he undid my delusions with his grounded, back-to-reality style of treatment. The monstrosity above is something I wrote about myself while under his supervision back then, and I found it profound enough to share here. I thought life was over for me all those years ago, and boy, was I wrong. Go see him, as reality is a much better dream to live.

We started working with this doctor a little more than a year ago.  My 17-year-old son has depression/anxiety and slow processing speed.  That is what we think, at least.  I told the doctor what my son has; but I thought Dr. Danielyan was going to do his own work to come up with a diagnosis.  On the first session he just gave us a questionnaire to rank symptoms.  He asked a few questions and told me he needed permission from my son's father to medicate our son.  I got it for him.The whole experience was disappointing as just filling in a questionnaire about how sad you feel does not explore all the possibilities for a correct diagnosis.  I sent him the school report with the very comprehensive testing his school did for my son.  He never read it.  I asked him twice.  I also asked him to talk to the school psychologist.  He didn't.  We continued working with him out of desperation.  It's very hard to find a psychiatrist that will accept insurance and we wanted to try something. The entire year he just met with my son every three months to ask him a few questions and fill the prescription again.  He also repeatedly recommended an in-patient program that he runs (he gets the money, of course).About ten months ago my son moved in with his father as there he has little supervision.  Every time he came home my son had his meds so I assumed everything was fine.  I recently sent this doctor an email expressing concern about how poorly my son was suddenly doing at school.  He said he would reach out to my son, which he never did.Today I called to get a refill for the medication and he said that he had not been filling the medication for a very long time and that his father was not returning calls.  I asked him why he hadn't called me then.  He said it is not his obligation and that we not calling him or giving our son the medication was child neglect.  If that wer true he has the legal obligation to report child neglect.  If he thought there was child neglect how come he didn't even bother to call me either?  He needs permission from both parents to prescribe drugs.  Once he has that he doesn't bother about contacting either parent, let alone both anymore.  In the end I found out that he had been filling the prescription all along and that my son had been taking the medication.  When he talked to me he blamed my son's father.  When he talked to my son's father he blamed me.  He never apologized for wrongful accusation, and he dropped my son as a patient.  He also called my son and tried to sell his in-patient program to him yet again when my son becomes an adult.  As he was dropping my son as a patient he was looking for new business with him for a few months from now.If you are a parent, this is a terrible psychiatrist to work with for your child.  You will be wasting crucial time to find an answer for your child.  If you are an adult who needs real help, you will not find it here.  This doctor only works if you want your drugs filled every few months.  He will do his session with you, ask you some general questions (you know what to say if you want the drugs), and that is it.  He gets his money; you get your drugs.  This guy does not care and is very dishonest.
