Eve is the GOAT!!! The Salon is beautiful, the customer service was superb and my hair looks amazing! I felt home and I knew that I will meet the only stylist in Walnut Creek that could style my hair the way I want. I am a busy professional woman who requires a certain level of care to my look. Thank you for always getting it right.

Poor service. Overpriced. I went to get twists and originally, it was explained to me that it would be 85 and up for natural naturals and 120 and up for added hair. I got natural twists and not only were sectioned too small, but they were extremely thin and weighed down by all the gel that was used in my hair, which was a lot. I was on the verge of tears of how bad it looked but powered through so I could go home and take it out. Not to mention, I was handed a phone, by the woman who had done my hair to talk to whom I assumed to be the owner, which took me by surprised because I have never had to do anything like this before. I had to talk to explain my style and she did tell me that my style wouldnt look exactly like the picture I had in mind since I wasnt adding hair, which I knew and was aware of. I had also added in the appointments notes thats I was doing NATURAL twists the after results were nothing of the sort. It looked like twigs. Afterward, I asked how I owed and I was hushed and told to wait, which again, I was taken aback but excused before I was handed the phone again and was then asked the pricing, to which, I was going to check my instagram messages but they had already said it would be 120 and up and since it had taken so long ( 9:30am to 1:30pm ) it would be 180 instead. Instead of arguing, as Im a person who doesnt like being confrontational, I accepted defeat because I wanted to cry as I already knew it looked bad and knew if I said anything or tried to argue that I would start crying on the spot. They also didnt show me what it looked like after, which was fine, since I knew if I looked in the mirror that I would start crying. I left and cried when I got home. It was only somewhat salvageable when I took out the rubber bands and washed all the gel and products out of my hair and redid a few of twists so it would fluff up and be thicker and curly. I highly suggest going elsewhere unless you want to be overcharged! Poorly sectioned, too productive was used and awful communication. There is a lot that needs to be improved in this establishment. Eve was very kind at the time of service. My complaint is that I was told that I had to book the appointment online which was $25 to reserve an appointment time. I thought that the deposit was going to be applied to the service. An hour before my appointment Eve called to tell me she was running late. I said ok no problem, I arrived at the new time on time. I had previously texted her pictures of what I was trying to achieve which was a retwist. However, she said that she would need to crochet my hair. At that point, she informed me that the appointment would run into her next appointment and asked me to come the next day. I was a little annoyed, but I wanted my hair done so I agreed. The next day she called me around 9:40 am for my 11:00am appointment, and said she did not have a needle or the hair. Again. I was annoyed that my appointment would again be delayed. Luckily, I had all the tools, and the hair. I told her I would bring them and asked her if I should have washed my hair, she said she could shampoo it for me. When I arrived I only had to wait about ten minutes, she was very polite, and I explained to her what I wanted and asked for her expertise. She only washed the top portion of my hair which I thought was odd, the sides are shaved off but it should have been cleaned as well. I had the expectation that my hair would look neat with even parts and such, however all she did was loop the braids through. Im very nice and I didnt really tell her I didnt like it, but I thought that maybe it couldnt be fixed the way I wanted. When I asked her the total she charged me $125 for the crochet and $50 gor the shampoo. I didnt know that shampooing was not apart of the service. I asked her about the deposit, she said its not included,m. she also told me that if I needed a touch up because two of my braids had to be reattached she said I could call her and she would fix it for me, which I thought was her standing behind her work and not charging me. Also, I later found that it is not customary to withhold the deposit. A few short weeks later the two braids needed to be reattached so I called her and asked her to repair. She directed my back to the website where there is NO cancellation policy, but you cant booked unless you agree but there is no policy to even read. Big mistake. I asked her what the cost would be and she said its $85 per hour just to to reattach two braids, plus $25 to book the appointment online. I declined unfortunately. Months later I wanted to give the salon another chance so I texted Eve to inform her that I wanted to make an appointment and told her about the deposit that I was unwilling to pay if it would not be applied to my service, she never replied. I am very disappointed because its the first African American salon in Walnut Creek, and I would have loved to do business with them and would have been a repeat and loyal customer. I wish the business much success, and hope that they address all concerns of their customers so that they can run a fair successful business. Service: Dreadlocks
