The Ruth Bancroft Garden & Nursery

Not exactly a lush green jungle or the manicured to an inch of their lives gardens but still such a great place to visit. We were looking for a place to take our puppy out to socialize and came across this dry gardenwith some incredible examples of cacti and succulents. Great variety of plants that can survive during our droughts and lovely to wander around! The volunteer gardeners were also super awesome and friendly; one gentleman took it on himself to give us a personal 20 minute tour after just speaking to us a few moments!

Such an amazing garden! This is a fantastic place to nerd out over agaves, aloes, yucca, cacti, and other succulents. There are so many types packed in together in beautiful harmony and unity. It's wonderful to walk around and see such beautiful and gigantic forms of these plants. Thank you for upkeeping this amazing gem! Edit: fixed typo :)

We love this place. It's such a healing just to walk through. Everyone who works there is friendly and enthusiastic about their work and the garden. I love their holiday lights evening event - when it comes around I highly suggest it! Dogs allowed, and a great nursery. It's really one of those places you have to see for yourself.
