I feel that Mr. David Brillant was the biggest scam that I ever had to deal with in my entire life. My sister hired him to take care of our parent's living trust. He helped her self-deal three houses to herself with year-old, under-valued appraisal prices. An attorney of eighteen years should know that an appraisal is only good for up to ninety days. I feel that he purposely caused huge delays during litigation to run up a huge bill over a three year period. He forced very unnecessary and expensive depositions that did not need to happen until after mediation. He charged four times more fees than what my attorney charged during litigation. I ended up with the same settlement that I asked for over two years ago, but a much smaller amount due to Mr. Brillant's fees being taken out of my trust account. During mediation, I found out that the mediator was Mr. Brillant's professor in law school. This is a huge "Conflict Of Interest." How many other trusts have been involved with this scam in the past. I also found out after I settled that I was lied to during mediation about how much money was left in my trust account, and should have gotten a bigger settlement. Don't fall for this scam in the future of this bad review. If I could, I would give Mr. Brillant negative five stars.
I would not hire Mr. Brillant if he was the last attorney on earth.
