I've used Alex twice now--once each for a GE refrigerator and microwave. Both times repairs were fast and professional!

I used Alex twice. The first time he did a good job with our washer, and charged a fair price. The second time, he came out to work on our refrigerator. He told my wife and me that the work required at least an hours work, but that he'd do it for a flat of $120 (this included his fee to make the house call). 22 minutes later, he was done. That worked out to an hourly rate of $327.27. So, deduct his travel change and you still have a ridiculous fee. We felt like he had taken us for a ride (he knew it wouldn't take anywhere near as long as he quoted). Don't get me wrong, he did a good job this time too. However, I'll never use him again. . .as far as we're concerned, he doesn't care about building repeat business or treating potential long term customers fairly. There are too many other people out there who want to do business for the long haul. . .find one that is good, fair and stick with him!
