Obnova Inc.

I paid for Obnova's services after being pursued by them for close to a year's time. Their salespeople are great at acquiring clients and are quite nice, although that didn't seem to translate to any actual results. From the beginning of the relationship there was a poor original assessment of my website and what was needed to ensure success, followed by a severe lack of communication. After two months of receiving ZERO work, SEO updates or online traction from Obnova I was informed that I needed to update the wording on my website for relevance and that this was the reason why they had been unable to provide their services. I decided to try and make the relationship work. They first tried to charge me $1250 for an updated copy of my site. I balked at that and then they quickly told me they would provide it for free due to their mistake. The copy was added to my site haphazardly, causing more work for me to fix and edit the damage that had been done. 3 months into the relationship, I asked my account rep to update me on his level of confidence on their ability to improve my online presence. He said he'd confer with his team and get back to me. I didn't hear from him for nearly a month, and when I did, it was to tell me it was time for my next monthly installment. This back-and-forth, cat-and-mouse continued for another month before the account rep informed me, again: "We can't make any progress on your visibility until we update some things on your website." After hearing this same excuse over and over, I decided to request an early termination of our contract. This was easily granted. I reached out to request a refund of the months where no services were provided and they have been extremely difficult to deal with and , no big surprise here, extremely unresponsive. It's been 1.5 months since their last response and it's quite clear that this company is out only to collect a check, regardless of the result (or in this case, lack of result) provided to their client. As a small-business owner in the home-service sales industry, I work extremely hard for every cent that comes my way and I value exceptional treatment of my clients and partners. If you're like me, please don't even consider partnering with Obnova. You'll be minimalized, ignored and treated awfully, with no chance at recompense.

Our industry business has been slow beginning September. Even though the company was making great posts on my social media page I was getting no results. The posts I made personally were doing better. I requested they cancel my subscription October 17th. I have been charged in the amount of $499 twice since then with no response from their cancellation department. Update. The billing department responded to my latest email and said they are issuing me a refund. Not sure if they are refunding both charges or just the latest one.

Great salesman had me believing everything they did would drive traffic/customers to my company. After Obnova posted the first couple of ads and I noticed my company name MISSPELLED! Also, the posting content was not grammatically correct. I emailed my concerns getting no reply, and the mistakes continued. They seemed surprised then embarrassed when I explained why I had to call and cancel immediately. No follow up after that as to why those mistakes were allowed to happen (although I did not expect them to call, but a refund would have been a nice gesture).
