La Michoacana Ice Cream

We have been enjoying this michoacana location for so long, however something changed during the last visit, and it was the quality of the ice cream. We always order rum raisin plus other flavors. Rum raisin was really different this time, few to no raisins at all in every bite. What a disappointment feeling, since this Michoacana was the one we visited when craving that flavor. We hope it was something that happened during that time, and it's not that they are changing their recipe or quality of ingredients. My suggestion is to increase a little bit the price but no mess with the quality of your product. There are plenty of options nowadays, and it's not easy to keep loyal customers. I'll give it one more chance, but not anytime soon. Pictures showed different bite attempts looking for raisins without success.

Im so glad there are Michoacns opening around town, and the microbrewery wave has finally subsided. I discovered mamet flavored paletas years ago and for a while the store bought Mexicana brand was my favorite. The ones they make here at this Michoacna set the standard and are my new favorite. Overall everything they make is clearly a labor of love and a work of creativity. I hope this place stays open forever. Seriously this is so close to my place and its great because they have the best Ive cream Ive ever tasted. I just wish they made their logo into a sticker and a t shirt so I could rep them on my water bottle or something. Please make it happen if you are the owner and reading this!
