I cannot speak for other people who have left comments, but I actually grew up in this church and school. Sequoia Baptist Church does not pretend to be something it's not just to get you in and get that 10%. This is a church led by a legitimate man of God. Pastor Benefield didn't inherit this church or "get the job". He followed God's calling and started it from nothing. Along with Brother Wilson, you can't find more genuine and devoted servants.

This is a friendly Church where the Bible is preached, old fashioned hymns are sung, and the sinless life, sacrificial death, and glorious resurrection Of Jesus Christ is the core of the message you'll hear. Some places offer self-help, feel-good pep talks, lite on the truth, along with a rock concert.. but here, the focus is on God's Word, How to receive salvation and know it because the Bible says you can know it, and then how to walk with the Lord as a Christian should - which is what we all need to hear. Come for a visit!

Cult-like.... this place is a joke of a Baptist Church! The pastor and his family are only lining their pockets off the tithes... they don't give a crap about congregation... only to try and wrangle money out of the elderly....sinful!!!
