Horrible experience! If I could give a 0 I would. Mark Sauer was completely unprofessional in my dealings with him and I highly recommend finding a different CPA for your needs. As a new customer, I made an appointment to come meet Mark to decide if we would use him moving forward. I was not told there would be a fee for this meeting ($250), which would have been nice to know prior. Once it came to tax time I used him since I had provided all of our information already and felt it should have been easier since he knew everything. He gave me a quote of $400 to complete my taxes which I felt was reasonable. When I went to pick up my paperwork and pay, I noticed my taxes owed were much higher than he originally estimated. When I questioned this and he looked over everything, he had the audacity to blame his employee and not own that he made a mistake. I was astonished when I went back to get my corrected paperwork, with an $895 bill because he said my taxes were time-consuming. Yet he never gave me a call to discuss a rate increase and HE was the one that made the mistake. Because even if his assistant did something wrong it is HIS responsibility to look that over prior to releasing it to me. When I questioned the $895 he elevated his voice in the office saying multiple unprofessional things, an example of one was discussing how much money I made. Stated that I should pay what I thought was fair than not come back next year. He ended up adjusting my bill to $695 (still not what he originally quoted). I WILL NEVER RETURN AS A CUSTOMER.
