After 14 years, there customer service has really gone down hill. I had a sensor go out 6 weeks ago and still no replacement. I asked to move a working sensor with a the non-working sensor. I had an appointment. No one showed up or called to cancel.
The agent said the tech did not come because they had no part. I stated that the appointment was to exchange the sensor not replace it.
I have spent at least 2 hours on hold over a six week period and no help.
Beware about using ADT now.

I tried to give no stars but can’t leave the feed back, They are a scam company ADT and the installer company DEFENDERS Too, I end up with extra fees and the system doesn’t even work I called to complain and or canceled the contract ADT has 3 days not including the installation day neither weekends on the other hand defenders included the installation day and weekend’s.

I called for a "QUOTE", NOT AN INSTALLATION OF A SYSTEM.
SO "PROTECT YOUR HOME" an ADT authorized adt dealer came 8nto my home proceeded to remove my already existing alarm, by using screw drivers to pull it off the wall and not by unscrewing it.
Then installed their alarm, the tech went outside to call his boss. I overheard him asking what kind of neighborhood is it and how nice the house is. The side on the phone gave the installer a price of $4800.00. I said nope!
I do the 3 day cancel and now "protect your home is threatening my credit.
STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS!

The service and professionalism from the moment I contacted ADT about services to final installation was impressive. The whole experience was friendly and fantastic. Keep up the great work! Service that exceeds expectations.

Worst service ever and it is almost impossible to cancel service once you set up. Everytime I call I get transfered to 3 to 4 different people and have to explain each time and then I get put on hold for 1/2 to an hour just to be disconnected. The alarm goes off unexpectedly scaring the life out of my daughter and making her cry. The police have showed up over 7 times despite no emergency wasting their time. I have to apologize each time explaining that its the horrible security company that wont even assist me because they refuse to get their faulty equipment and say that I own it now and have to pay for it even though there are phone recoreds of me canceling within the three day time. Fyi if its not in writing and mailed to them it dosent count!!! But they dont advertise that. Fun fact mail takes about three days to deliver so either way you are stuck paying them no matter what. And unless its certified there is no way to prove you mailed a cancellation and thats how they force you into paying for all their equipment. Im paying over a thousand dollars for equipment plus a couple hundred plus monthly service for a service I dont use and cancelled within three days as told. Once they have you, you can't get out without paying a bunch of hidden cancelation fines.
