It's pretty cool. I went here for a track race and it was pretty well organized.

VHS Cougers Suck!!! Go Bulldogs! Just kidd'en, School rivalries never end except that Larabee Stadium was Buena's home feild forever,; Dua.. BUT most Native Venturians born in the last century might remember the cool year long Birthday Party Her Son's and Daughters from all over the County threw for San Buena Ventura's Centennial Celebration that held fun and entertaining competitions such as the Beauty Pageant's at Women's Center on Foothill Rd. There were Dart Throwing Matches held at several local Watering Holes such as The Sportsmen and The Rondevue and The Band Dar, too name a few. The final week of the 1966 Celebrations saw Mud Pit Tug of Wars and Horseshoe Throwing Competitions, Roller Derby in Commercial Building at the fairgrounds. The Centennial Parade was one of the longest I have ever been a part of, the parade started inside the Fairgrounds at Seaside Park and "Up Main" (we didn't have to walk! ) to VHS's Larabee Stadium where a very large number of Her citizens were Cast Members in Ventura Story; an all Volunteer Cast, they played parts starting as the Chumach mothers and children and Her towns people to the High School girls and boys who played the Young Boys in Uniform heading to war as their sweethearts wave goodbye. I had several parts the play, I was one of the Indian boys sitting beside my Mother (Dourothy Vervoon Douglas), I am proud to have sung a duet with my friend Kevin Costner, and no he was not an actor or director, just my Buddy 1966.

Parking is limited. I had to parked blocks away from stadium. St Benaventure was hosting as home team. The food attendendants were not customer friendly. There were only two small restrooms available.
