Shor Construction responded to inquiries very quick and truthful. Their team showed up on time each day, completed extremely high-quality work, and took the time to clean up thoroughly afterward. Shor Construction is definitely not the cheapest you'll find, but if you want top-quality work that finishes promptly and predictably then go with Shor Construction.

Shor Construction was hired in 2017 to install gutters around the whole house and to install Milgard replacement windows and sliding door and a garden window which had to be custom built. They did a beautiful job. I watched the whole thing. They had one guy just following the installers and cleaning up as they went. They did the gutters in a couple of hours one day and the windows on another day. I was very impressed with how organized and hard working they were. They left the house and yard spotless and even came by again to inspect every window and verify that everything was installed and working properly. They really performed. I'm writing this now because I just referred them to a contact and needed to look up their number and realized I had never written an online comment. I saw a couple of negative comments, but we had no problems at all with their performance.

We initially dealt with Asi to build a 2nd floor. Asi presented himself as the contractor. At first, the architect Eli made many mistakes, and the project started late. Then, Asi never showed up to check progress or result. He only wanted to collect money. Mistakes never got fixed. All the work goes to the actual contractor George. Things went quickly at first. But George doesn't always show up, and project falls behind.

Beware!! I'm quite confident this company is simply out to scam people and get deposits for work they promise and will never deliver. I sincerely doubt that any of the positive reviews on here are real. My experience was with Joel Schrager, and to say the least it has been horrible. I could go on and on, but will try summarize as best I can: Bottom line - I paid them $2,500 to have Shor come up with a design and a floorplan, which was to be approved by the city to get a permit for the work to be done. I had to continually follow up with them to find out the status and push them to get anything done. They finally submitted to me an initial design plan. They then had to have some things modified in order to get the permit approved by the City. Now I have been told that the permit is ready to pick-up which is great...However, Joel Schrager at Shor will not send me the finalized plans and the structural plans for the project. I was also originally told a rough estimate of what the project would cost. After not providing me with finalized plans, Joel then went on to tell me the actual cost would be 50% higher than the original estimate. After insisting that he still provide a quote for the work to be done, I was never given a quote, since he claimed Shor is too busy for the next few months. I advised that I was not in a hurry for a quote, and to still provide me with a detailed quote and to provide me with the finalized plans. He has never gotten back to me. Now after paying Joel $2,500 for a deposit, all I have to show for it is a simple PDF design. Any other contractor that actually ends up having to do the work for this project will need to have actual plans drawn up separately and approved by the city, which will likely cost another $2,500 or more. Avoid the headache and save your money...Stay away from Joel Schrager and Shor Construction.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! I had this company come out to my home to give me a estimate for 2 bathrooms we would like to get remodeled. It's been over a month of calling and calling and I still haven't recieved the estimate. I have called both the guy who came to my home to go over the work we were looking to have done and most of the time he doesn't answer or if he does he tells me he will call me back and never does. I also have called their office number and it must be a company thing because even they dont answer or they say they will call me back. It shouldn't be this hard to simply to get the estimate!! So dont waste your time to be at home and go over the work you want done because you cant even get a estimate back from these people, thank goodness I didnt hire them for anything!
