    What happened to customer service? They just hand you the shoe box & dont even try to help lace or take the stuffing out when trying shoes on. Its been multiple times and I miss the old customer service days when show stores cared to help

    I bought a pair of boots about 2 weeks ago and after spending about 20 minutes waiting (there was a family shopping ahead of me) I get the size I need and hear the employee tell the family in front of me, their card system is down and they are only taking cash. I'm about to buy a $200 pair of Dr Martens. Why wouldn't she tell me ahead of time their system is down? Fine. I go to the atm and come back to pay. She asks for my email address to email a receipt and also prints one. The boots were a gift and they were too big for the recipient so I try to take them back (recipient had the receipt) and the same person that checked me out originally says she can only give me store credit because I used cash and have no receipt. She also tells me she sees my purchase through my email but because I didn't specify I wanted an emailed receipt, it doesn't automatically send one. I told her do you remember that your system was down? She said yes I remember you. She supposedly called her manager (in the back) and said sorry there's nothing I can do. I still have the boots because I refuse to use store credit for their system being down. Beyond frustrating.
