Portofino Apartments

Maintenance here at Portofino has been great, the people who work here have always been quick to respond to issues. Saul has helped us several times with different issues that weve had, and even noticed that our water heater needed replacing just based on a sound that was coming from near our apartment. He is always pleasant to work with and gets things done in a timely manner.

I see a lot of good and bad reviews about this place, at the very end of the day its about managing expectations. Would I say this place is absolutely perfect with no flaws, no, but I challenge you to find a complex where everybody who ever stayed there was 100% satisfied with everything and everyone else lol. Expensive, yes, sometimes hard to actually reach management by phone, yes.. but they do a good job of keeping this place clean, Saul with maintenance is on top of everything and super easy to deal with, the area itself is PHENOMENAL and the underground parking is amazing during rainy season and summer lol. Weve loved our 1.5 year stay here, and would easily recommend Equity residential to everyone.

My wife & I have been living here for about 4 years. The location is safe, clean, and walking distance to the mall / restaurants. Whenever we have a maintenance issue, Saul arrives on time and always resolves the issue in a timely fashion. I appreciate his follow through and expertise. He's been there for us every time from a dishwasher replacement or needing something else taken care of.

Would definitely NOT recommend this apartment in this area, there are many better options for the price. I moved in 2 months ago from Promenade across the street excepting it to be same, since it is managed by the same company. The apartments are really old and not at all well maintained. My unit was not inspected before handing over and I have to call for service requests every week. The AC unit had a problem and they have trying to work it out for a week causing so much inconvenience and mess that I cannot use the room I pay rent for. The parking is not well maintained. There are vandalism instances. It says it is a gated community but does not feel safe or comfortable for the amount of rent they are charging. If you value comfort, time and money, I would caution anyone against moving here.
