Zen Jiu Jitsu is a great place to learn Jiu Jitsu, grow in the martial art, get motivated, get a good workout, and make friends. Coach Ernie is very welcoming, encouraging, patient, friendly and fun. He teaches both Gi and no Gi.  Being a part of Zen Jiu Jitsu is like being a part of a family. You're not just a number, you get quality attention. Your teammates quickly become your friends. There's no jiu jitsu politics. Coach Ernie is very laid back and understanding. The 5am class is perfect for people like me who want to start off the morning strong and get your workout checked off before you start work. My boys attend the kids evening classes. They learn jiu jitsu, learn respect, help their partners, gain confidence, learn to push through adversity and have fun. I recommend Zen Jiu Jitsu to everyone I know.

Coach Ernie, is in my opinion one of the best BJJ teachers in the area!!! He has a sincere passion for the art and has provided me with instruction that helped me to excel. I never feel pushed at this school but rather I feel encouraged to push myself. BJJ is work but once you make that decision, he will help and guide you. He is a super cool person and very easy to talk to. Awesome person. Marlon Cook.

The ONLY GYM WITH A 5AM A JIUJITSU CLASS  Zen has a family vibe, coach Ernie keeps it light there is always music playing with laughs and good rolls... Ernie runs a no-politics open door gym no matter what BJJ affiliation just come to train, roll, and  get better at Jiujitsu I walked in had a class and signed up...  and later signed up my boys Ernie's wife coaches the kids Tuesday /Thursday evenings. we train had and sometimes catch up outside the mats... Ernie sends a group text to let us know of schedule changes and stuff going on...

I have been training at Zen Jiu Jitsu with Ernie for a couple of months now and it has been an outstanding experience.  I go to the early morning class which is the only time I have available and the instruction provided by Ernie exceeds my expectation.  He is a gifted teacher and really assesses the needs of each student.  The atmosphere is very friendly and everyone wants to help each other improve.  I highly recommend Zen Jiu Jitsu.
