Quality Concrete Floor Leveling

We contacted several floor leveling companies, including Quality. Doug the owner came out with his foreman Mark, and they estimated the job. The bid was competitive, and I liked their style, so we hired them. Their crew showed up on time with the owner running the crew. All and all the job went well. The crew were all respectful and seemed to get along well. Doug let me know there were a few things to fix, but they would take care of it quickly. His foreman came out the next day and finished up the job. The leveling worked out really well. There are a couple of spots I'm hoping they can improve on, but Doug was upfront about those when he bid the job. So, bottom line, I would hire them again and probably will when we do some additional concrete work.

I called Quality Concrete Floor Leveling as one of a couple of companies to provide me a bid for adding self-leveling to my very uneven and out of level wood subfloor that was about 50% plywood and 50% 4 inch T&G 1x. I also had another bigger name in the industry here in Orange County come out to bid the job. The experience between the two companies was night and day in terms of the bidding process.
I emailed photographs and a detailed description to both companies. Doug from Quality had some questions, and said he had to come out to take a look at the specifics before a proper recommendation and bid could be provided. The other company was fairly lazy and sent me a bid based on my own measurements and ideas of what was needed, and only came out to look after I insisted. Doug also explained every aspect of each step needed in the process, and provided a couple of options for what I wanted to have done, based on budget and preference. His bid was detailed and broken down in terms of what was being completed. He was also courteous and well spoken.
Also, and this is a big one...I asked him to do me a favor (not in the original bid), which he agreed to. When it was not completed, he actually apologized and sent out 2 guys the next day to do it. I did not even have to ask. He offered and did not make up an excuse or try to make me feel bad about it. That shows the character of the person behind the company, and I am confident that if something were to go wrong in the future he would stand behind his work. This is a rare quality in trades these days.
On a side note, I also had the flooring installers bid the self-leveling. Had I not had Quality Concrete Floor Leveling out to bid the job, I probably would have gone with them, not knowing what was actually needed to properly prepare the surface for self-leveling. Nobody wants to have to pay for an unplanned expense before adding flooring, but if you're going to do it, it's worth doing it right the first time. Service: Repair flooring
