I have 4 children and have been going here for 16 years. I have been satisfied with my experience. Some doctors are better than others however in the last year we have been primarily seeing Dr. Mody she is my absolute favorite doctor ever!!!! She is kind, she listens and she cares. I couldnt recommend her enough!!!!

I was forced to bring my kids to this location after a nasty custody dispute with my ex husband forced them to change doctors. It was tough going from the only doctors they had ever known to a bran new facility, but we did what we had to do. Getting an appointment was easy, the receptionists aren't overly warm, but I didn't have any rude behaviors or mask drama like many people have reported. They do still require all patients to wear masks, and when we forget them they quietly hand us all a mask and we go in. The office is older but clean and well maintained. The bathrooms are clean and always stocked which is nice. They don't have books or toys which isn't an issue for me, but for parents looking for distractions you might want to pack a few. There is a fun fish tank in each office to keep little eyes entertained while you sign in or fill out paperwork. Our kids have seen Dr Turner who I was pleasantly surprised with. She was calm and had a very welcoming demeanor which made it easier for my kids to warm up to. She took her time listening to them and addressing the concerns they had. We never felt rushed or unheard in her presence. On one occasion my son thought it would be funny to put a piece of fake dog poop on the chair as a prank. When she walked in she totally rolled with it and was so silly with him. She scored extra points for that!! She places orders quickly and is easy to contact which is also really nice. All of the nurses/LVNs have been amazing. They take their time and really practice patient centered care. One nurse even did breathing exercises with my daughter when she was panicked. It was beautiful to see and warmed my momma heart. One issue I did have, which is why I removed a star, is there don't seem to be any systems in place for victims of abuse. This is very concerning especially when children might be accompanied by an abuser and they are unable to advocate for themselves with the person in the room. Other than that I recommend this place.

Time and time again, Erika at the front desk has found a way to present extremely rude behavior. From giving me a lecture for not bringing my own mask, to cancelling my baby's appointment WITHOUT my consent, and even responding with the most ruthless comments because I asked a simple question.  When parents take their sick kids to the doctor's office, the last thing they need is someone to make their day worse. I go there already hurting on the inside for my sick baby, and Erika acts like a prison guard and not a nurse at a pediatricians office. She does not fit the role whatsoever. She can charge me for the extra mask I asked for, or she can ask a different nurse to answer my calls, and lastly she definitely doesn't have the right to tell me that my kids are getting sick because I missed a check up back in the day (2 years ago and she's still holding a grudge or something I am going to let patient advocates at CHOC know. This is not okay.

Six years after the first encounter during PAM's Open House and another baby later, I'm back to update my review. My family is still so committed to PAM and the quality treatment that the doctors and staff have provided for our family. I delivered my second child at HOAG and we were put in touch with a pediatrician who would evaluate our baby since this is not the usual hospital that PAM goes to. That went very smoothly and my daughter's initial diagnosis of hip dysplasia was communicated to the doctors at PAM. This led to a referral from PAM to a pediatric orthopedic specialist and an unexpected and sudden operation for my baby who was only 1 month old. When I showed up to PAM for my baby's wellness exam a few days after she was placed in her hard cast, Dr. Martinez was already briefed about the procedure and the treatment plan. But as I sat in the room with him, he asked me "how are YOU doing?" and it was the first time someone had asked about my well being as a parent during this oftentimes scary journey. I immediately burst into tears and Dr. Martinez handed me a box of tissue and a light hearted joke. It really made my day and I've never been more grateful. Since then, we have been referred to several specialists for my oldest daughter's medical condition. This has been frightening and overwhelming and we have seen and called Dr. Martinez for advice; he has even called me periodically to check in. He has been a great source of calming comfort and has been able to refer to my daughter's chart at CHOC to explain things in a way that we parents can understand. We remain eternally grateful for him and the treatment my daughters have received at PAM. Our daughters have been seen by Drs. Martinez, Dangvu and Turner. Most times there is no wait for us (we always book the earliest appointment times available) but when there has been a wait of up to 10 minutes, the doctors have checked in to let us know that they are running late but will be with us shortly. We have never had any problems scheduling with our favorite doctors and have utilized the nurse's call line several times. The doctors, staff and nurses have treated us with respect and care. I oftentimes say that as a parent I want the absolute best for my kids and PAM is definitely the best.
