When I had my first appointment with Dr. Motherway it was hurried and a little brash. I had multiple medical issues and had to transfer PCPs on account of an insurance change.Within the 2-years she was my PCP the yearly membership fee to be a part of her practice went from $150/yr to $200 -- which really was not worth it. I get that the practice is trying to create buffers so they don't have to overload patients because of the sheer amount of documentation the provider is expected to do. She is not a *bad* doctor. She is willing to get you the referrals you need and send you out to whatever specialists. Unfortunately, the appointments are very rushed and leaves you wondering what just happened and often unheard. It isn't so much a dialogue as a QB calling plays. Maybe this was just me. When I told her about my lipedema, her first response was "I don't know anything about it, so if you have specialists, stick with them." -- She was not open to learning about it, reading research, or becoming familiar with the condition.Recently I had to change insurance to an HMO. We could no longer afford to keep our PPO Cobra. My new PCP refused to prescribe me a medication that I have used for 20-years. I reached out to Motherway's office in hopes that I could schedule a cash appointment with her to get the Rx while I wait the 3-months it is going to take to get into a specialist (yay American medical care system). Her response was "No." Flat no... because get this: "She is not taking new patients." I would not be a NEW patient. I was a previous patient with a 2-year history. The issue was that I didn't pay the $200 yearly fee, so I no longer exist. I was told to go to Urgent Care. Urgent Care told me to go to the ER. The ER sent me away. Thank you Dr. Motherway. You really do care.

Dr Motherway has been caring for my parents (90 & 93 yrs old) for many years now and I couldn't be happier. She listens, explain everything clearly and personally calls back to follow up when special needs arise.

Dr Motherway is an excellent DR, knowledgeable, kind, listens to patient, thorough etc. The nurse and staff are all excellent too.
