Dr yang has done work on me before, to walk into her office after a decade and her still knowing me and my family was the best.  She is not only kind but the best oral surgeon.

For some time I have been dealing with very deep pockets where my wisdom teeth were removed and also various other pockets throughout my mouth. I was confused for a while as to what the best course of action would be.  But since coming to see Dr. Linda Yang at South Bay Periodontics everything has fallen into place.  Dr. Yang didn't immediately recommend pocket reduction surgery.  She wanted to see what could be done non-surgically first.  So she took cultures from various pockets all over my mouth and sent them in to a special lab.  This lab grew a culture and identified the bacteria that were causing problems and recommended antibiotics in my case.  After I took one round of doxycycline Dr. Yang saw such improvement that we decided to do one more round.  Meanwhile I was using the blotting technique to clean my teeth twice daily, taking 6-10 Standard Process Biodent  tablets per day and taking two teaspoons of Blue Ice Royal Blend fermented cod liver oil/concentrated butter oil per day. After the second round of doxycycline Dr Yang was seeing dramatic pocket reduction all over my mouth.  She then recommended deep scaling and a followup consult one month after.  At the followup Dr. Yang said that the only pockets that needed surgery were the ones on top behind where my wisdom teeth were extracted.  She was delighted that every other issue in my mouth had resolved on its own.  She told me that whatever I was doing, I should keep doing it.This is the kind of dental care that I really value.  Do whatever you can to help your body heal itself and use surgery as the last resort.  Thank you Dr. Yang for your high level of integrity and dedication to healing.

I originally had an appointment for gum surgery with Dr. Gail Wood but she had to cancel my appointment the day before which was a blessing in disguise.  I had been putting the surgery off for years because I had it done before and knew what to expect.  I knew they would need to cut the roof of my mouth to use my gums for the graft. I remember how invasive and painful it was and procrastinated doing it again.  Luckily, a good friend of mine told me about Dr. Linda Yang and that she does a procedure that would not need to the roof of my mouth.  I made an appointment with Dr. Yang and could not be any happier or grateful.  She knew my anxiety about the procedure and was right by my side the entire time.  She explained everything to me and put my mind at ease.  She was very pleased with my surgery and called me the next day to see how I was doing.  Dr Yang is one of the most caring and gentle doctors I have ever been to.  Everything happens for a reason and there was a very good reason that my original surgery was canceled and I fell into Dr. Yang's hands.  She did a great job on my gums, her staff is extremely nice and caring and I never have to wait for my appointment. They take me right in.  I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Yang and her team to anyone.
