Allen Lawrence, MD, MA, PhD, is the medical director at Conejo Valley Advanced Wellness, a preventive medical clinic in Thousand Oaks, California. He then completed his internship at the Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center and his residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, also in Los Angeles, focusing on obstetrics and gynecology.Dr. Lawrence achieved his master's degree in human nutrition and his doctorate in psychology from the Pacific Institute for Advanced Studies in Los Angeles. He also spent two years serving as a medical officer in the United States Air Force. After gaining experience in surgical practice, he became a nonsurgical practitioner, focusing on integrative wellness.As part of his belief in the power of preventive medicine, Dr. Lawrence emphasizes natural treatments and lifestyle modifications to prevent illness and improve overall wellness.
