Bought a new build home almost a year ago and it has been a living nightmare since. From dealing with in house lender nightmare to multiple construction defects. I would never buy from Richmond American again, it's all about the bottom line and quantity of houses instead of quality.Preventable mistakes like forgetting to put a cap on clean out pipe and stuccoed over it.  Our bath water has been leaking in our kitchen for the last 10 months of living here causing black mold to grow in the walls of our kitchen/dining room.  This is 1 of many things that was wrong with our new build, including a missing gas line.  Worst part is , 1.5 months later, WE STILL DONT have cabinets and floors nor do we have a timeline on when it will get done. After countless messages and phone calls, it has become clear that we our no longer a priority since we have already closed on our house.  I have emphases about safety concerns, since our granite is being held up by two 2x4's, and my daughter loves to build forts.  Also the dozen a day I stub my toes on left over flooring since they still have not replaced them. We are not making any headway on Richmond actually finishing this mess. We just get run around about how they are still looking for parts. They can't find two cabinets  as they continue to build another street of houses next to us. That's ironic.  This missing cap in pipe is one of many things wrong with our house since moving in. They will charge your for per diem for not closing in time but the house was not even completed and is completely defective. Buyer beware!
