Windsor Elmhaven Care Center

This place is a nightmare not on elm street on Pacific. Do not send your loved one there because you'll never hear from them. I'm on hold 30 minutes at a time and still can't reach my loved one. They don't give them water. They don't assist them when they need it. They don't get him up out of bed when he need it, they don't give them therapy when he needs it. Do not send your loved one here. He has no phone that works, no curtain around his bed, no call button that he can reach. When he does get water he can't reach it.Next step is the Ombudsman.

Upon entering, all looks good and the front desk receptionist was friendly and helpful but as soon as I started walking down the aisle toward my brothers room , the strong odor of urine was unbearable as I walked past unattended dirty laundry bins of odors that lingered into patient rooms as dinner was being delivered . So disappointing. Not at all what I expected from a facility that claims " excellence delivered with compassion " With some improvements and detailed managent this place has the potential to be great.

I'm very thankful with this facility. I love how we were able to work together to help my mom get better and reached the goals we had put . One of the many goals we had put for my mom was to get off the ventilador and then trache . It was met and my mom was eventually able to breathe on her own and moved out of the subacute section . The staff were amazing to us and my mom very communicated with us and understandable.

Would give 0 stars if I could. If you value the person you need a care home for, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! The employees at this location neglected my relative to the point that there were 3 separate times having pneumonia, had sepsis, had maggots in a wound, multiple bed sores, and did not follow thru with ANY of the agreed to contact and care plan for my relative. Arrangements were made to come pick up personal effects after he passed away in the hospital, yet they tried to refuse to return belongings. In the end, after driving 3 hours 1 way to retrieve personal effects, "everything" was bagged up & brought out. Everything belonged to someone else. Every single person working at this location that has anything to do with treatment of patients should be fired and lose any credentials they have, be banned from EVER doing any form of patient care for life, & have neglect and abuse charges on them for the complete incompetent treatment of patients. How many other people have suffered similarly up till now? How many more have to suffer because of the incompetence before this place gets shut down & these people are held accountable for their epic failure to do their jobs and care for the people who have been left in their hands? Do you really want to risk your loved one to have their care be in the hands of a team of people who've got no problem neglecting & substantial abuse by severe neglect their patients to the point that they have similar conditions?
