Absolutely horrible customer service and UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!!! I've waited 1 week before writing this review. My father passed away in the very early morning hours last week. My mom could only think of one funeral home and said she wanted to reach out to Deyoung. At about 4AM I was looking at their website and saw they were available 24/7...so I called. I wanted to ask what the costs for cremation was and what was involved. Apparently my call was answered by their answering service. I answered ALL of their questions and was told my questions would be answered when the funeral director called me later (Sadly, I assumed that meant after 8 AM). By 1 PM we still did not receive a return call so we found another funeral home (Zapata). During our 4 PM appointment at Zapata, St Joseph's Hospital called to ask if I gave permission to Deyoung to pick up my father. Apparently Deyoung called the hospital to make arrangements to pick up my father, but couldn't be bothered to call me! I told them absolutely not and that I gave up waiting for Deyoung to return my call from 12 hours earlier. To this day I still never received a return call from them! Once I hung up with St Joseph's I told Zapata Funeral Home about the call and he said they were just at Deyoung earlier today picking up another family's loved one. He went on to say Deyoung went and picked up the family's loved one and then AFTER they had the remains they called and advised them of the cost. The family could not afford it and so they asked Zapata to please take over. Apparently this is a common practice with Deyoung! DO NOT ENTRUST YOUR LOVED ONES TO DEYOUNG!!!

Caring, detailed oriented & accessible for questions. Our family has been with DeYoung for over 24 years & the level of care is amazing.

DeYoungs Team did a phenomenal job in making sure we were taken care of. You were helpful and accommodating. You walked us through each step of the way from beginning to the end. The support you provided alleviated some stressors.
