Took my vehicle to this horrible shop on June 19th for a simple roof dent repair and windshield replacement, was supposed to be a 3-4 day time line for repair. This shady, dishonest scumbag started padding up his charges for things my car did not need thus causing delays with my insurance company. He said my dash was damaged and needed to be repaired however it was just a vent cover which had minor scratches in it. Almost a month later he informed me my car was ready to be picked up. Upon arrival the car was completely dirty inside and out and my steering wheel was mounted upside down. The dash appeared used and had scratches on the instrument cluster cover yet he claimed he purchased a new one for me. The car was unable to be driven this way so i did not take it home. When questioned about what the hell his shop did to my car he could not explain but merely stated it was hard to find quality help and that he would get to the bottom of what happened. He continued delaying with my insurance company to the point i decided to take my car out of his shop. Due to a mix up on both his part and the insurance i ended up with an after market windshield which caused my lane assist sensor to be unable to be calibrated. Mr. Paulk submitted an additional supplemental request to have an OEM Glass put in in an attempt to get more money out of my insurance company. I had to take my car to an alignment shop to get my steering wheel fixed and was informed my alignment was completely off. It was a total nightmare dealing with James Paulk and his shop. Citizens of San Joaquin County PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE THERE OR YOU WILL BE RIPPED OFF. i filed a complaint with the bureau of automotive repair due to his fraudulent actions, hope they can shut him down permanently....... So here's what happened.  This guy is a complete liar and a scammer and will screw over his customers to make a profit.  My 2019 Toyota Corolla was hit pretty bad on the driver's side from someone running a red light and the air bags deployed.  I did a light research and decided to bring my car here to get fixed. TOTAL WRONG DECISION.  With the damage to my car it was pretty close to being totaled. James swore up-and-down that there was no damage to the engine or anything mechanically that it was purely cosmetic. Insurance wanted to total it but he estimated a price just below a full total.  It took him over 2 months to fix my car (some which was a hold up on the insurance part).  When I got my car back the airbags were not put in correctly, the bumper was sticking out, the the side of my door on the inside was totally broken still, the seat was still ruined, and I was hearing a cracking sound coming from the wheel where I got hit.  I called about the cracking sound and he assured me it was nothing to worry about and I could bring the car back in so they could fix the rest of the stuff. Sorry. Not waiting another 3 months while I pay $500 a week for rental cars so I decided to just take it as a loss seeing that it was mainly cosmetic.  About 1 month later that sound from my wheel was getting alot worse so I brought it into another shop thinking it was the axle or something.  They called me back and said it is my transmission! Most likely due from an accident!  I opened up a supplemental insurance claim and my adjuster, the appraiser, and a specialized mechanic they assigned ALL said that there is no possible way James Paulk auto shop did not see this especially since my car was taken apart. My shop spotted it in one minute! The reason being if the car was totaled James would not have not have gotten the 13k+ from my insurance money to "fix" the vehicle. HE KNEW ABOUT IT AND DIDNT MENTION IT JUST TO GET THE INSURANCE TO PAY FOR HIS HALF ASS JOB!  Please take your vehicle somewhere else!  My insurance has been investigating this and informed me this shop will soon be blacklisted from any further claims business with my insurance company.
