My son has been attending this great school for 3 months. I have always wanted my kids to go there. He has learned so much and improved many skills in such a short period. He won't stop talking about his "new school". When I pick him up he always says he wants to stay at school some more. He loves his teachers and the director has been kind to us and always answers any questions we may have. The school is very diverse in terms of student population and staff which is great to see. Grateful to live near an amazing school. Thank you Simin and all the wonderful, pleasant & competent teachers.

This review is long over due please bare with me. My son attended Mills for about 2 years , he completed preschool 1 and preschool 2 , I'll go ahead and start with the positive of the school. THE TEACHERS THE TEACHERS THE TEACHERS! All of the teachers are amazing! You can see they genuinely care for the students. It was heartbreaking leaving since my son was completely comfortable and loved it so much. Now I'll start with why we left the school. The administration and the Director are awful and you don't seem to get your money's worth. Considering if you pick the full day program is $1550 and doesn't include anything at all. Everything is extra such ask lunch and pizza Fridays not to mention the school claimed pizza comes with a drink and a fruit but my son always said he didn't get a drink or fruit? Very odd.The director Simin is not very pleasant to speak with either, she will not take the time to clarify certain cost or questions. In fact it almost seems she intentionally avoids the parents, again how odd.Now like I said the full day program is $1550 for mills and it's a private Montessori school but I haven't been able to find any evidence that Milis indeed Montessori certified , what I did find strange is Mills Montessori is actually a non profit! She NEVER once mentioned that to us. We feel disgusted with the director.

After one year, I never got my money back, it was one month and a half's tuition, it was more than a thousand dollar!!! Never recommend this school to anyone! As a parent, I shouldn't have ignored any bad review of that school!

My daughter and son went there.  My daughter was able to finish grammar school, but due to an unfortunate event my son wasn't.  My daughter started at her new school well prepared.  As for pre-k to 1st grade, the staff is top notch.  I've seen shy, quiet kids come in, only to eventually break out of their shells.  Problem kids become, good kids, but don't get me wrong they can't fix everyone, but they try their best.  I've seen them take on kids not welcome at other schools, because of various reasons.  They will try their best, I know for a fact that if your kid doesn't read, they will by the time they leave 1st grade.  The seasoned 1st grade teacher is the most dedicated teacher I have ever met, when she retires it will be a definite tragedy.

Our daughter has been going to Mills for two years now and our experience at this school has been nothing short of fantastic. We are very pleased with how much she has improved and how much she continues to improve. I appreciate how they go at the pace of each child, it makes all the children comfortable and happy to go to school everyday. It is a great environment for children to learn, there classrooms are full of age appropriate Montessori material which my daughter loves especially the sensory play. Ms. Simin is the director of the facility and nothing I mean NOTHING gets past her. She does a phenomenal job in keeping the school in order. She has been running the school for 30+ years so she is also very knowledgeable in child development and child education. She's awesome with the children but also firm when need be. The school is VERY clean (I'm OCD clean) so they get an A+ in my book for cleanliness and organization. The school is beautiful and you can tell they put a lot of attention to detail in each classroom. I would recommend Mills to any parents looking for a school that has a structured environment with rules and activities set in place for a good first foundation in their child's learning future. Thank you Mills!
