Absolutely worth it. I signed up to this last minute And they were able to get me on a trip the next day in the morning. As you can see in the photos we caught about eight beautiful lake trout. They tasted great and their meat was pink. Luckily we were able to have a very experienced captain named Bob, 25 years! He was a very knowledgeable Captain. Not only did he maintain The natural chaos between steering, setting up lines, redoing leaders, and teaching everyone but he was also able to give us an awesome history lesson of the lake. Apparently the only native species to lake Tahoe is a specific breed of cutthroat that can also be found in lake pyramid. Due to lake trout's ability to breed sooner live 3 to 4 times longer and their sheer massive size they wiped out the cutthroat. This being the case people have tried to restore the cutthroat population for years now but it's been struggling due to the lake trout's invasive nature. I found this information very interesting. Overall for February I paid around $200 per person and if you're in Nevada resident a one-day fishing pass is $10. They provide the fishing rods, bate and everything to go fishing so If you're in lake Tahoe I would recommend to check this place out!
