        Stayed in a Deluxe Double and the room was perfectly clean. Staff was great and location was perfect. Will definitely stay here again.

        Conveniently located in the heart of town. Dated but rooms are clean and have small appliances such as a refrigerator and microwave. Parking is free. Unfortunately there is no fitness center, but I guess all the walking around town makes up for it. They have a scavenger hunt game for guests but unless youre traveling with a family with young kids, dont do it. I did it with friends and was disappointed with the gift from the treasure chest. I would suggest the hotel offer guests a better gift for participating such as coupons for future stays or for restaurants or for shops. Their gift selection came out of a Party City store piata bin. Nearby activities: Many restaurants and shops nearby Walkability: Location is great

        Unbelievable! King Frederik Inn in Solvang has been an absolute disaster! Booked our stay through Expedia, expecting a serene getaway, only to be slapped with a non-functional air conditioner in our room. The kicker? We only discovered this at 9 PM, drained and desperate for rest. Their pathetic attempt at a solution? "Just move to the room next door." Seriously? As if the hassle of moving at such an ungodly hour is nothing! It's clear they couldn't care less to check if the air conditioning was working before letting us book. And when I dared to complain at the front desk, I was treated as if I were the problem. The nerve! This isn't just poor service; it's a complete disregard for guest comfort and basic hospitality standards.This horrendous experience has completely soured our Solvang visit. If you're looking for a place that actually values its guests, avoid King Frederik Inn at all costs. A total disgrace to the hospitality industry!

      Set among the shops and restaurants of downtown Solvang, this low-rise, Danish-themed B&B is a 7-minute walk from Old Mission Santa Ines and an 8-minute walk from the Solvang Vintage Motorcycle Museum.

       

      The modest rooms come with minifridges, microwaves, coffeemakers and feature balconies or patios. All also have TVs and free high-speed Internet access.

       

      Continental breakfast is served in a basic dining room. There's free parking, a heated outdoor pool, and a hot tub.

      Hi Jess,We do apologize for any inconvenience caused during your stay. After going into your room after you left we saw that it was set on “auto” instead of “on.” We apologize our night staff didn’t go in to fix the issue at hand. They are trained to give another room if there is a major issue because we no longer have any maintenance staff on hand.
