We moved into an old "fixer-upper" with some tough issues. After several plumbers & electricians & carpenters flaked out on us one by one, Al came to our rescue. With his years of experience & wide range of resources, he tackled our problems & restored our house to its deserved beauty. We described our ideas & visions, & he was here to make sure it was done to our high standards, inside & out. You can tell he really takes pride in making sure the job is done right, & his prices are reasonable. 5 more gold stars for Golden Star Construction.

Al and all his crews were amazing!!  The quality of work done was impeccable.  This was so obvious that my retired neighbor who had been in the construction business commented on the high quality of work done.  Al's crews work seamlessly with terrific communication among them.  An added plus was there was no down time.  Everyday crews were working on the project!  What we expected to take at least 3-4 weeks was done in 8 days, down to the last detail.  Everyone one that worked on the house was friendly, professional and a master craftsman. Alan is as good as it gets. I was introduced to Al through my realtor and I'm so grateful for the referral. He is prompt, efficient, a great communicator, the work is top notch and I definitely feel "taken care of." We were living in San Francisco during the phase 1 remodel of our Encinitas house and Al was in contact with me almost daily (if not multiple times a day). I really appreciated the communication. No detail goes unnoticed with him. He made sure everything was exactly what and how we wanted it to be - which is never easy especially because I was so far away from the project. He asked great questions and made sure our vision came to life exactly how we wanted it. He was at the site daily, and was able to deliver upon our very tight time frame so we could get moved in on time. His estimate was detailed, he stayed on budget, and there were no "surprises" with the final bill. He has a whole Rolodex of subs who do great work. We can't wait to start phase 2 of our remodel with Alan. I've already referred him to some of my neighbors and I will never hesitate to refer him time and time again.

Where do I start??  Al and Golden Star Construction were absolute life savers on my job!!  My wife and I bought a Tri-plex in South Oceanside that needed a complete gut & remodel.  After interviewing a 6 or so contractors we settled on one we thought was capable and they definitely were not.  The project was grossly mismanaged and the work was just plain awful.  It was a horrific experience, we wasted thousands of dollars and 6 months of time.  We were also paying the mortgage on an investment property that was not bringing in any money.  This was the definition of a nightmare.  Our stress level was at an all time highWe found Al and Golden Star in January of 2018 and he absolutely saved us.  Al is extremely professional, his work is outstanding, he stays on budget and completes his work very fast.  He started on February 15th and we finished on May 15th.  We had to fix the mess the previous Contractor created and rebuild each unit.  I couldn't be more happy.  (see the pics)I cannot recommend Al and Golden Star enough.  Stop looking at all other contractors and immediately hire him, he's that good.  If anyone wants to talk to me further just PM me and I'd be happy to go into more detail.

Golden Star Construction is synonymous with Quality & Detail! Al was great, the job was pretty complex and he made us feel so comfortable based on his knowledge and experience.  He was on site almost daily and from beginning to end ensured things were done correctly.  I am very detailed and some would say "picky", Al worked extra hard to ensure I was pleased every step of the way. The most important & valuable aspect was  he suggested several things I wasn't thinking about up front,  and not to add on costs, but to ensure that I was completely satisfied at the project completion.  I am grateful that I used Golden Star Construction and you will be too.
