Hired Mr. Block to make sure I cashed out my 401K correctly. After 4 years of receiving letters from the IRS and Mr. Block dismissing them as already paid, I presented Mr. Block with my own investigation into the matter and then he realized that he "forgot fill out a certain section and missed it" on that filing. After so many years of interest and fees, I asked for his help with the best way to approach the resolution and any possible assistance programs, since I am broke, and this was his reply, "we do not have the bandwidth nor the expertise in this area to be able to assist. I recommend contacting a professional who specializes in IRS resolution." So long story short, I hired Mr. Block to make sure I cashed out my 401k correctly so I could pay everything up front, when I had the money. He made a mistake and those things happen but getting hung out to dry, really sucks. Now I have to hire another CPA to clean up his mess.
