I do not recommend this agent!!!  I began with Christopher last year, he promised "excellent contact and communication", he would be "like a good neighbor", "like family"... When we met, his gruff presentation made me think he was strong, would stand up for me, and had my back. A year went by, I needed to give a mileage update, and I found out the wrong information was originally entered into my records.  Ok, I might have given him the wrong info, or he entered it wrong into the database... but he blamed me, claimed that he saw the odometer with his own eyes, when he never did, and then proceeded to ask me questions with an attitude that sounded like interrogation. I copied my sales receipt for the vehicle, my invoice for the last repair work and oil change, sent it to him, then heard NOTHING back!!! I sent emails and left messages, 3 weeks went by and not a word.   I just called his office again and I was told he is on vacation.  No word, no information for 3 weeks ?  What if I had a claim?   In my experience he is unreliable for simple communications, therefore, I will look for another representative. I hope the next will be reliable, or I will look for another Insurance company.

Who loves paying homeowners insurance?  Not me!!  Well, until your home burns down, then it doesn't seem all that bad.My home did not burn down, but those who had Farmers Insurance were treated well.  Part of the experience of processing the claim is to collect on your personal possessions.  Most all of the other insurance companies require a detailed inventory plus documentation of the expensive items for you to get paid on your claim.  Farmers put out 100% of the claim for the Sonoma County fire victims!  Imagine the worst case of an 80 year old couple who doesn't have records of everything, doesn't have appraisals of the most valued items, doesn't know how to use a spreadsheet and are in early years of senility - they have to deal with writing a detailed list of every item they own.  Makes a good case for having Farmers Insurance doesn't it?Christopher has been good about annually calling me to make sure my policy is up to date.  At first, I was annoyed thinking, "He wants to sell me more insurance." - actually he's making certain that I don't get caught with my pants down as many homeowners did when the Tubbs fire came through.Farmers has a great website and recently deployed 5 star app for your phone to check up on the insurance.  I can find out the status of my policies in 2 minutes with the app on my phone.  Outstanding!  Love the auto-pay with my credit card.  Had the 1 star reviewer used his credit card, he would never had had the problem of Farmers not getting their premium fees.  (I also like getting the "cash back" feature on my credit card - which is not at all "insignificant".)Who hates  paying the insurance premiums?  Not me.

I will never recommend Farmers Insurance Agent Christopher Stuhr. You'd be better off finding someone else. Here's why...Stuhr has a serious professionalism issues. I had been a 12 year customer and never had in issue and only one minor accident (not at fault) when I was hit by an uninsured motorist. When I called Farmers they said I didn't have coverage because of an automatic withdrawal unable to be processed. (This was due to my credit card put on fraud alert on an out of state road trip vacation). The only notification I received was an email in my Junk folder from Stuhr asking for a phone call. Not only did Farmers decline to cover the non-fault accident, Stuhr's demeanor throughout was not helpful and seemed to be him trying to cover his weak attempt to warn me, a 12 year customer with multiple policies, that my auto insurance was ending. Not only did they/he not contact me, they send a letter to the credit union holding the loan that coverage would stop weeks after they actually stopped. (The Credit Union stepped up after noticing Farmers error and covered the cost of damage repair)After that, I switched to State Farm, a letter was sent requesting Farmers to end coverage. I received a phone call from Stuhr where I also stated I had sent a letter to end coverage. All of that leads to Farmers not canceling my coverage and requesting payment. I sent an email to the Service Operations, courtesy copying Stuhr, requesting cancellation and provided proof of coverage from State Farm. Stuhr responded, thinking he was sending an internal email but accidentally to me stating "Joe tends to make things up". Anyone who knows me, knows the hilarity of that comment. I am a private, honest person but Stuhr's slanderous statement is the reason for this review. Do not use Farmers Insurance and for sure don't use Agent Stuhr out of the Sebatopol office!
