A great hike. My first time. I would say moderate difficulty. I was told there has been a lot of work done on the trail. It was nice. Got there at 9am and we were the only ones there until about 10am on a Saturday morning until the people with the blue tooth speaker showed up. Forcing their bad music on everyone else that was trying to enjoy the sounds of nature and get away from the loud obnoxious sounds of the city. I don't understand why anyone thinks this is ok behavior. Don't rob everyone else of their ability to enjoy the sounds of nature. I won't lecture you on how you're missing the entire point of being in nature, but if you find it necessary to listen to music on the trail, please bring headphones. I'm not there to hear Jay Z. Please be respectful. Parking: I was told you need a California adventure pass to park here. So, that's what we did. I'm not sure if it is enforced, but there was a strong park ranger presence there. Fees: Just a parking pass that can be used at multiple parks.

Roads leading there are very narrow so go slow. The paved road ends and 7 miles is dirt and rock. The hike itself is mild but at the beginning of march when i went, the wind is what really got you. The hike to the falls is all downhill, but coming back gets tough, I cant imagine if if had been hot. Beautiful scenery, some narrow walking paths, once you get there, the rocks are very slippery. I thought it was worth it and my kids couldn't wait to go back when its not as cold and can get in the water. Parking: Parking is limited but you have to have a permit you can purchase online. You cant pay at the lot, but im guessing if they run your plate and u dont have a permit you will get fined. Restrooms: Restrooms available in the small parking area, take your own tp.

Fun trail to drive to, about 7 miles of dirt road which is kept very well, even after the recent rain storms. There are 2 water crossings, but they weren't more than 6 to 10 inches deep. I did this run with a 5 series RWD. The hike itself is moderate. I started with Eagles Peak and then made my way down to the falls, around 6 or 7 miles RT for both trails. Definitely bring a hat and shades. A majority of the hike is fully exposed. Water is flowing heavily right now! The rocks are slippery near the falls. Some took their shoes off to go all the way down to the falls for better traction. Parking: Parking was plentiful... but then again, it was the morning of superbowl Sunday lol Restrooms: Restrooms are very clean at the trailhead
