There are a lot of things that are stressful about buying your first home, but working with Arlene was not one of them for me. She actually made the process LESS stressful. Arlene was my touch stone to check in with all along the way and she really helped me stay on course to get to the end goal. She was generous with her time in explaining things throughout the entire process, was easy to get a hold of when I needed to reach her, and was extremely knowledgable about all things home buying. My family had some unique situations with our jobs/income and Arlene was able to handle them, no problem. She always found a way to make things work! Before I purchased my first home, my realtor had me speak with Arlene about mortgage details. I had already done my basic research and understood what rates/terms were available to me through my local credit unions but speaking with Arlene was much more like sitting in on a master course in mortgage finance. She was patient, explained concepts, provided cautions and answered all of my questions. She did all this even after we had established that my local CU was offering promo rates/terms she was unable to match. I didn't end up using Arlene for that first purchase but I did end up using her services on my next purchase. The knowledge that she shared has been foundational of my understanding of real estate finance.
