This academy is an amazing training experience. If you are starting your jiu jitsu journey or continuing it, this place has amazing professor's with an abundance of experience. This is top level Brazilian jiu jitsu!

I love training here. Professors Connor and Natalie are incredible instructors. I joined a little under a year ago as a blue belt. The quality of the instruction at GBSR is top notch. The rolls are friendly and challenging, and good sportsmanship is emphasized. Everyone is thoughtful of their teammates on and off the mats. Truly a place that keeps the spirit of the art alive.

Our kids started training here about a year and a half ago, and they love it. Natalie and Connor really are great people, very friendly and very knowledgeable, they have a good structure here, yet also make bjj fun, if you currently train or want to start I highly recommend GBSR, it's a great environment to be in.

I fell into BJJ accidentally and Im so glad I did! I love training with Professors Conner and Natalie at Gracie Barra. They are super knowledgeable, friendly, and supportive of your personal martial arts journey - whether its for fun or for competition. It doesnt hurt that their gym feels like a community where real connections are made on the mat. If youre looking to find a fun way to be active and learn a thing or two about self defense, check it out!

It sounds a bit cliche but if I could give more stars I would. Professors Connor and Natalie have built an excellent academy. My 5 year old has been training here for about 1.5 years. Almost every morning he asks if he has JuJitsu that day because he enjoys his time there so much. Professor Natalie, and the coaches under her direction, are nothing short of amazing. Theyre kind, patient and seem to genuinely love being there and watching him along with the other kids grow. I havent been training for long, but my experience in the adult classes has been equally great under Professor Connor. There is an excellent culture on the mats. As someone who has never formally trained in martial arts I was nervous to start by that quickly faded as my training partners have been nothing but welcoming and willing to help me progress. It feels as though everyone on the mat is not only working on their own development but are actively and intentionally helping one another. I CANNOT recommend Gracie Barra Santa Rosa enough and am constantly telling people how great it is the train here.
