You will not be able to reach anyone of importance at the office, phone appointments will be blatantly missed, and if your lucky he will show up right on time for court not even knowing who you are. Wait it gets better 1 year later they will start sending bills that were already paid up front, Over and over and over.

I don't know where else to turn. This attorney does not return his phone calls or his emails. His own staff cannot get him to return any of my calls or emails. Brian has left me high and dry and he has bled me for thousand of dollars. Meanwhile, my ex's attorney is getting everything she asks for. And I'm losing everything. I found out that Brian Lanz has been reported to several state agencies and its a miracle he still has a license to practice law. That would have been good to know before I hired him.

We have been working with Brian on a few issues for the past couple of weeks. He and his staff have been highly organized and responsive. Having any dealing involving the courts is filled with unknowns and anxiety. He has guided us along the way and helped us to know exactly what to do and when.

On first meeting, Brian seems smart and capable. Once you retain him however, the wheels quickly come off the bus. Brian never once reviewed my case or prepared for our meetings. When I brought this to his attention, after a year of representing me, he actually said "I have hundreds of clients and I can't remember everyone." This was a year into my case and after $15,000 spent!He will treat you as an interruption to his day, seems bothered by details, and knows absolutely nothing about strategy or offense. If you need a lawyer who will play defense 100% of the time though, Brian is your man.What else? His response time to e-mails (after you send three) is about two weeks. His response time to phone messages (after you leave five) is about three weeks. He will schedule phone meetings and simply not show up. That happened to me twice. I can't say the same for his invoices. Those always arrive right on time.I left Brian for an actual strategic and engaged family law attorney (Bob Montgomery in Santa Rosa) after spending way too much money for absolutely nothing but heartache, frustration, and whack-a-mole defensive tactics. I am sooooo glad I did.This guy is clearly in the wrong profession.

Bryan seems nice and capable on the surface. In fact, I found him to be uniquely unqualified to represent me in a recent family law matter. He is curt, seems bothered by casework and organization, impossible to reach, never responds to e-mail or portal messages, misses scheduled phone meetings, and NEVER prepares. Working with him was an absolute nightmare. He disappeared for over a month during my divorce proceedings. Disappeared. I had to finally threaten to file a complaint with the California Bar Association to even get a call back and listen to his groveling apologies. After a year of torturous misrepresentation, I was forced to switch attorneys mid-stream. Had I stayed with Bryan, I'd most likely be living in my car right now. He's that horrible. Run from this guy. Quickly.
