LearningRx - Santa Rosa

Being a Brain Trainer at LearningRx for nearly the last 2 years was fantastic, but unfortunately it has come to and end. Not only was this an incredible place to work, the job was also fulfilling. Suzi, the Director, worked very hard to create a positive and open working environment, where her employees could ask questions and give open, constructive feedback to better our training methods. Especially when I started, this made me much more at ease while learning the ropes. Not only that, but it fosters a friendly and open atmosphere; all of my coworkers are jovial and chipper to each other and the clients. Not just their own specific clients, but ALL of the clients. No matter which trainer trains whom, everyone makes sure to talk to and engage with clients as soon as they walk through the door, welcoming them and making them feel at home. One of the biggest takeaways I have from my time at LearningRx, are all of the instances where my clients had some kind of breakthrough. Whether it was on a certain procedure they were struggling on, or especially when they identified an improvement in their life because of the work they are doing at LearningRx, it always brought a smile to my face. I knew that I was able to help this individual achieve something that they have not been able to do before, or made something a lot easier and now they do not spend as much time doing it, like homework or chores. If you are looking for or are interested in working one-on-one with children, teens, or adults, I highly recommend applying to be a cognitive skills trainer at LearningRx. It has a positive environment, everyone is friendly, and if you ever have difficulty with something, you have a dedicated team of talented trainers to help back you up. As a past employee and a teacher, I have seen first hand the difference that LearningRx Santa Rosa has made in kids and their families' lives. One student didn't even want to come in the door and was in tears, and now she enters with a smile and has formed an incredible bond with her trainer. She smiles and has gained self-confidence. I have witnessed students that couldn't sit still master the skills necessary to attain focus as they work on cognitive procedures with their trainers. I have also had the privilege of hearing parents that were beyond frustrated with their child's lack of focus and forgetfullness praise the differences they have noticed. They don't have to ask for clothing to be picked up off the floor or remind their child to do his/her homework, because of LearningRx the child has gained confidence and the ability to become self-regulated. The most rewarding aspect of LearningRx is the joy that exudes from parents and children after beginning a program. There is a true transformation within families. If I hadn't witnessed it for myself, I wouldn't believe it. Suzi and her staff are amazing at what they do and have a genuine desire to help.
