Sound Roads Music

My daughter did the week-long rock band camp at Sound Roads Music. At the end of the week the girls put on a performance - and you can't imagine what owner Tom accomplished in such a short time. It was truly amazing. My daughter also has a new outlook on music, lessons are great, but to actually work with professionals and put together a performance - including writing their own music - makes a huge difference. And this isn't your standard out-of-the-box rock camp. Tom assess each girls skills and potential! All the girls stretched their capabilities and worked on new skills. Highly recommend this school and this camp.

In five half-days of rock band camp, the girls learned to play three songs as a group, rotating instruments, and wrote their own song. Amazing. Sound Roads has exceeded my expectations. Great studio, fantastic teacher who really take the time to learn the skills and interests of the students, but still drive them to perform at their very best level.

I am a clinical psychologist and a professor at four universities, so I am rather demanding when it comes to my childrens education. When we found Reiko it was quite a nice surprise!!! Reiko is child oriented, well organized and encouraging. She pushes her students to the best of their potential, but in the gentle and soft way due to her demeanor. I especially appreciate that Reiko takes time to evaluate strength and areas of challenge for each student. She tailored her lessons with an individuality of a student in mind. Practicing smart instead of practicing more already brought results for my daughter. In less than half a year, my daughter was able to achieve more then with the other teachers in two years! Thank you, Reiko!

The best music school in westside for any age. My daughter has been taking the violin lesson since she was 4. and I (as Mom) take the guitar lesson for fun as well. Time slots are very flexible. They will work to accommodate with your schedule. They take homeschool families and credits. You learn the updated important mechanics of instrument playing, postures, they correct your bad habits which is very hard to get that kind of tailored advice from other schools. Teachers are also professional players in current music scene and well connected. If you are looking for a music lesson for your child, I highly recommend them, so that your child can learn in correct way of music playing as well as theories behind it. Or for you to have fun learning music with relaxed attitude, this place works too!

Exceptionally talented, professional and inspiring teachers!! My son has been taking guitar lessons with Tom for 6 years and loves it. Also plays in a band put together from other students which Tom teaches. They're learning to write and record original music. Tom continually presents the students with amazing opportunities to play for live audiences at different venues. We love Sound Roads Music!!!
